Once upon a time, a raven was very unhappy with his life. One day, he started crying while sitting on the branch of a tree. Among was also sitting under that tree, just then a drop of that Raven's tears fell on the monks cheek. The monk raised his head and saw the raven crying, the monk asked him, what's that matter my friend, why are you crying?

The raven replied, oh wise one I am very unhappy with my life, no one loves me, everyone seems to chase me away in disgrace, no one gives me anything to eat, death is better than such a life. Hearing this words, the monks heart was filled with compassion. He said to the raven, my friend we must learn to be happy on whatever condition we find ourselves.

Then the monk asked him, tell me “what do you want to be and I will make you that with my montra"

The raven became happy and said if you will make me a swan. The monk replied “Okay, I will make you a swan but before then, go to the swan and ask him if he is happy with his life or not till then I will wait for you here".

The raven happily for away to meet swan. He found swan inside a pond and he said to him “how beautiful you are, you are as white as milk, everyone loves you, you must be the happiest bird in the world". Then the swan said to the raven.

“No dear, I am not happy. There are so many beautiful colours in the world, white is a nothing color, I think parrot must be the happiest bird in the world, he is so colourful". Hearing this, the raven flew away from there to meet the parrot.

He then said to the parrot “oh parrot, you are so colourful and beautiful, you must be the happiest bird in the world". The parrot said to the raven “No, my friend I am not happy, people always keep parrot in a cage and I am meant to be a free bird. It think Peacock is the most happiest girl in the world, it's outward is more colourful than mine".

Then the raven flew round to find a peacock and after a long time of searching, he found it. He said to him “Hey peacock, you are so beautiful. every day thousands of people come to see you but whenever they see me, they throw me away, you must be the happiest bird in the world".

The Peacock replied, “I used to think that I was the happiest bird on the planet but because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo. When people pluck my feathers to make decorative things, it hurts me a lot. He took a big sigh and said I am not happy my friend".

Then the raven said, if you are not happy then tell me who you think is the happiest bird in the world.

The peacock replied it is you, my friend. I have examined this too and I discovered that you are the happiest bird in the world. You are not kept in my cage, people don't try to catch you and trap you in the cage. If I had an opportunity, I would be you.

The raven flew away from there and for the first time, he was feeling happy to be a raven. He flew back to the monk and said “Oh wise one, I don't want to be anything, I am happy with what I am".

PHCN was sold with clauses that practically make us slaves to the buyers. For the government to revoke the sales agreement, it will cost about 3trillion naira. The sellers that accepted such conditions are Nigerians, and the buyers who are part of the agreement are Nigerians too. We are just a wicked set of people.

Government subsidizes petrol consumption* for everybody to benefit, but empty vessels would sail to our waters, and payment received for empty vessels. The fake importers and those approving payments are Nigerians. We are just a wicked set of people.

Many shouting about corruption or misgovernance are bitter because they are not part of the game or waiting and praying it would get to their turn. We are just a wicked set of people.

Check us out in all facets. The policeman that would kill because of N50 ($0.125), set big criminals free while imprisoning poor pickpockets. We are just a wicked set of people.

The Custom Officer that would allow fake drugs and ammunition into the country because he has been "settled." Yet cry for escalated insecurity. We are just a wicked set of people.

The exam supervisor that would sell question papers, award marks for money or s*x, and cry to heaven for falling standard of education. We are just a wicked set of people.

The government hospital personnel that would steal drugs and attend to no patients yet decry the state of health institutions and medical tourism. We are just a wicked set of people

The contractor that would collect mobilization fee and not execute jobs
Some even collect the whole contract money by doing shoddy jobs or without doing anything. We are just a wicked set of people

A fellow Nigerian would *kidnap* , cheat, or murder another for money
Then live big in towns or run abroad to sponsor youths against bad governance we are just a wicked set of people

OUR government at various levels is being run by Nigerians not foreign colonials yet we don't have good governance. we are all contributors to this wickedness.

El-Rufai Accuses CBN Of Printing Only ₦300bn New Notes After Mopping Up ₦‎2 Trillion

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) of printing only N300 billion new redesigned naira notes after mopping up over N2 trillion of the old naira notes.

He said that APC governors under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on the CBN to allow the old and new naira notes to co-exist to ease the tough time Nigerians are going through.

The Governor stated this while speaking to journalists shortly after a meeting between President Buhari and the APC governors at the State House Abuja.

The former FCT minister explained that if the CBN had wanted to implement the cashless policy, it should have printed at least half of the amount that was mopped up for a start, which should be N1 trillion.

Nigerians going through it: Governor El Rufai lamented that many Nigerians are suffering, even as traders of perishable goods are losing their wares daily from low patronage.

Citing tomatoes as an example, El-Rufai said some sellers from the North who travelled to Lagos with their goods experienced wastage because buyers lacked the cash to purchase them.
