The evening of Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026 saw the Erudite Family translate faith into action as the chapter embarked on a sanitation exercise under the coordination of the Chapter's Sanitation Coordinator, Sis. Glory Christopher. With approximately 20 Abasites on ground, the exercise was a living reflection of the teachings of Our Father â that cleanliness, order, and service to humanity are not mere obligations but expressions of the divine life within us. The team moved with purpose and enthusiasm, covering significant ground across the university campus before the evening was done.
The exercise commenced at the Faculty of Engineering, where the Erudite Family swept and restored order to the environment with cheerful hearts and willing hands. From there, the team pressed forward to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, extending the same dedication and thoroughness before rounding up at the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Science and its surrounding environs. Three faculties, one evening, one message â that Abasites do not only gather to celebrate, but to serve, to give back, and to leave every space better than they met it.
The exercise did not go unnoticed. In a remarkable highlight of the evening, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Igwe, engaged the Chapter President, CPS Bethel Dokubo, in a healthy and encouraging discussion, commending the chapter for the initiative and urging the Erudite Family to keep up the good work. Further along, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science also paused to commend the chapter, and in the course of the conversation, was offered a glimpse into the values, vision, and spiritual foundation that the association upholds. What began as a sanitation exercise had organically become an avenue for evangelism â a testament to the fact that every act of service in the Father's name carries the potential to open doors and touch hearts.
As the exercise drew to a close, the team converged for a brief but uplifting choir practice session before departing for the day. It was a fitting end to a day that had been full of purpose â from courtesy visitations in the morning to humanitarian service in the evening. The Erudite Family had once again proven that Erudite Gramercy Version 9 is not just a celebration in words, but a movement in spirit and in deed.

The Erudite Family brought a different kind of energy to Day 3 as the chapter traded pens for jerseys and lecture halls for the open field in what turned out to be one of the most exciting and memorable days of Erudite Gramercy Version 9. The day was anchored by a series of sporting activities that not only tested the physical abilities of ABASites but also deepened the bonds of brotherhood, sisterhood, and inter-chapter fellowship in a way that only the Father could orchestrate.
The major highlight of the day was a friendly football competition between ABAS RSU and their beloved sister chapter, ABAS IAUE, who showed up in impressive numbers and with great enthusiasm. Both teams arrived at the venue ahead of the agreed time. The match kicked off by exactly 4:10 PM and ran the full course of 90 minutes under the watchful and impartial officiating of Bro. Eneyi-Ogosi Oyintareowei Joel, whose fair play and composure throughout the game ensured a contest that was both clean and thoroughly enjoyable. ABAS IAUE drew first blood in the first half, but ABAS RSU refused to be outdone, pulling level with an equaliser in the second half to end regulation time at a pulsating 1-1 draw.
The atmosphere throughout was tensed and full of expectations, as ABASites from both chapters cheered their respective teams with passion and pride. A penalty shootout was then held to determine the winner, and ABAS RSU, powered by home advantage and the support of their faithful crowd, sealed the victory with a commanding 4-1 win. It was a complete game â competitive, spirited, and thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.
Following the football, the energy on the field only multiplied as a series of track and field activities took centre stage. The 100-metre and 200-metre races were held for both brothers and sisters, drawing cheers, laughter, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit from all corners. In perhaps the most entertaining segment of the day, brothers carried sisters on their backs in a fun-filled race that had everyone in stitches and left no one on the sidelines. It was pure, unfiltered joy â the kind that only a family that prays together, works together, and plays together can produce.
As the activities wound down, the Committee Chairman took a moment to address the gathering, commending all present and urging ABASites to continue turning out in their numbers so that every activity of Erudite Gramercy Version 9 could be executed at the highest level. In a touching gesture of inter-chapter appreciation, the Chapter President of ABAS IAUE was also given the floor, and she used the opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to ABAS RSU for extending the hand of fellowship by including their sister chapter in the celebration of this event. She pledged the continuous support of ABAS IAUE through to the very end of the event â a commitment that was received with warmth and deep appreciation.
The Chapter President, CPS Bethel Dokubo, then delivered the vote of thanks, before a closing prayer was offered to round off the day in the Father's presence. The field was alive one last time with the clicks of cameras as group photographs were taken, immortalising a day that had been nothing short of spectacular. Day 3 of Erudite Gramercy Version 9 was not just a sports day â it was a celebration of life, unity, and the Father's grace in full display.

The momentum of the day's courtesy visitations carried the ABAS RSU delegation forward as they proceeded to pay a visit to the State President of ABAS Rivers State, C.A Ini Johnson. This visit, coming on the heels of the earlier engagement with the Rivers State Administrator, further underscored the chapter's commitment to strengthening relationships across all levels of leadership within the Brotherhood fold. The delegation, once again led by the Chapter President CPS Bethel Dokubo, comprised Bro. Atagwung Gogo Mgbowa â VP Evangelism, Sis. Zinabari Heywood â VP Events and Logistics, Sis. Joy Amah â Mother III, Bro. Elemele Favour â Provost I, and Bro. Testimony Silas â Provost II.
As had become the order of the day, the session was opened with a prayer to set the spiritual tone for the engagement. Bro. Atagwung Gogo Mgbowa, serving once again as moderator, introduced the delegation warmly and articulated the purpose of the visit before handing the floor over to the chapter leadership.
CPS Bethel Dokubo opened proceedings by lifting his heart in gratitude to the Father for the successful resumption of academic activities, a testimony of His faithfulness and grace. He then brought to the fore the chapter's most anticipated event of the year, Erudite Gramercy Version 9, themed "Celebrating the Omniscient Luminary," slated for 1st â 6th June, 2026. Beyond announcing the event, the President went deeper, highlighting the profound significance of the celebration â both spiritually and physically. He spoke passionately about how the event serves as a beacon, not only for graduating Abasites stepping into a world full of uncertainties, but also for incoming ones, paving the way for them to thrive and stand firm despite the challenges life may bring. In essence, Erudite Gramercy is more than a celebration â it is a spiritual and academic lifeline.
Sis. Zinabari Heywood followed with her characteristic precision, walking the State President through the full rundown of activities lined up for the event week. She gave a confident account of the progress of the planning process, assuring Him that this edition of Erudite Gramercy would be the best the chapter has ever witnessed, owing to the innovative approaches that have been deliberately adopted in its ex*****on. The promise in her words was unmistakable â Version 9 was set to rewrite the story.
The floor was then extended to Sis. Joy Amah, Bro. Testimony Silas, and Bro. Elemele Favour, each of whom took a moment to express their hearts. Their words, though varied in expression, converged on one resounding theme : gratitude to the Father. Their faith was evident and infectious; for them, the event was not something to hope for â it was already a success in the spirit, and they were simply walking into the manifestation of what the Father had already ordained.
The State President, C.A Ini Johnson, received the delegation with warmth and genuine delight. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to the chapter for the honour of the visit and made clear how pleased he was with the zeal and dedication the Erudite Family had demonstrated. His counsel to all Abasites was pointed and powerful â to take their academic pursuits seriously, for the Father is well pleased when His children excel and distinguish themselves in their respective fields of endeavour, standing as true representatives of His glory in every sphere of life.
His pledge of support to Erudite Gramercy Version 9, physically, financially, and otherwise â was a source of great encouragement to the delegation. But perhaps the most stirring moment of the entire visit came when the State President, speaking as the Commander of all academic forces in the state, gave his word that the state would show up in full capacity to support the chapter â both men and spirits. It was a declaration that transcended the physical, and it left the room with a sense of divine assurance that no event backed by such authority could be anything short of glorious.
The visit drew to a close in the warmth of fellowship, a shared feast, and the familiar clicks of a camera capturing yet another landmark moment in the story of ABAS RSU.

In the spirit of fellowship, unity, and mutual growth, a delegation from the ABAS Rivers State University Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Rivers State Administrator, PCS Ezemonye Omereji, as part of the activities marking the 9th edition of the chapter's annual event, Erudite Gramercy. The delegation was led by the Chapter President, CPS Bethel Dokubo, and was accompanied by Bro. Atagwung Gogo Mgbowa â VP Evangelism, Sis. Zinabari Heywood â VP Events and Logistics, Bro. Stefan Ogbolosingha â Secretary, and Sis. Joy Amah â Mother III.
The visit commenced with an opening prayer by Sis. Joy Amah, who set a warm and spiritual tone for the business of the day. The floor was then handed to Bro. Atagwung Gogo Mgbowa, who served as moderator for the session. He began with a proper introduction of the cross-section of executives present, before articulating the purpose of the visit â to nurture mutual understanding, to appreciate the tireless efforts and dedication of the State Administrator in overseeing the affairs of the state, to share words of encouragement and spiritual enlightenment, and to strengthen the bond between the association and the state administration while reinforcing the values of peace, integrity, and service to Our Father.
The President, CPS Bethel Dokubo, followed with a progressive report on the state of the chapter since the onset of the current administration. He highlighted the strides the chapter has made while also drawing attention to its most pressing challenge â the welfare of Abasites, particularly the issue of accommodation, which he noted has significantly affected the numerical strength of Abasites at fellowship gatherings over the years.
Sis. Zinabari Heywood then took the floor and gave a detailed account of the event planning process for Erudite Gramercy Version 9. She walked the State Administrator through the full rundown of activities for the event week and gave an assuring update on how far the planning committee had gone in ensuring every box was ticked for an event that would surpass all precedents.
Sis. Joy Amah rounded off the delegation's presentations with words of appreciation to the Father for His abundant show of love and grace in the progress and growth of the chapter.
The State Administrator, PCS Ezemonye Omereji, warmly welcomed all present and expressed deep gratitude to the chapter for the honour of the visit. As an alumnus of ABAS RSU and a former Chapter President during the 2003/2004 session, he expressed genuine delight at seeing how far the chapter has grown in all ramifications to the glory of the Father. He fondly recounted how, during his tenure, the Father in them inspired innovations that raised the banner of the chapter to great heights, and he encouraged the present leadership to continue upholding and surpassing those standards. On the matter of accommodation, he offered a practical perspective and pledged his commitment to ensuring the challenge is addressed and resolved by the grace of the Father.
The session was brought to a befitting close as the Chapter President formally presented an invitation card to the State Administrator, officially extending an invitation to Erudite Gramercy Version 9, themed "Celebrating the Omniscient Luminary," scheduled for 1st â 6th June, 2026. The gathering then celebrated with a sumptuous feast, and the visit was immortalised with a warm session of photography.

The highly anticipated Erudite Gramercy Version 9 kicked off on a high note this morning as the Erudite Family of ABAS RSU gathered to mark the beginning of what promises to be an extraordinary week at 50 Obidianso Bethel. The morning commenced with a Super Morning Devotion conducted by the Father in SCS Aloy Ejiasa, setting a spiritual tone and igniting the hearts of all present for the days ahead.
Following the devotion, the Father declared an outing exercise, which was promptly led by the VP Evangelism, Bro. Atagwung Gogo Mgbowa. The outing served as a bold witness to men and spirits alike, announcing to the world that Erudite Gramercy Version 9 had officially begun.
Upon their return, the MC for the morning took charge and moderated the session with energy and order. The highlight of the morning was the Official Flag-off, performed by the Holy Father Himself, marking the formal commencement of the event. This was followed by an inspiring President's Speech delivered by CPS Bethel Dokubo, after which the Chairman, Sis. Zinabari Heywood, made the necessary announcements. The Vote of Thanks was graciously given by the Supervisor, Bro. Stefan Ogbolosingha, expressing gratitude to all who made the morning possible.
The Anthem was then rendered to usher in the Father, after which the atmosphere shifted into one of joy and celebration. A sumptuous love feast was shared among brethren, making the morning doubly special as it also coincided with the first day of a brand new month â a moment of double blessing and new beginnings.
The flag off session concluded on a warm and memorable note with a session of photography, as the Erudite Family captured the smiles, the bonds, and the spirit of the moment. It was indeed a morning of blessings, and a beautiful launch into what lies ahead this week.
