"Seeing pimples or spots on my face really gets to me. Growing up, I never had to deal with acne, but now, even a small pimple makes me feel self-conscious. My friends tease me about being obsessed with my appearance, joking that my mirror is my best friend! Whenever I notice a pimple, I can't stop staring at it all day. I've even joked about getting surgery to remove it, which makes my friends laugh and tell me I'm too vain. But today, I had an epiphany. I realized that my reaction to acne is similar to how we respond to sin. When we're faultless and then make a mistake, how do we feel? Do we experience a guilty conscience, prompting us to strive for purity once more? How do we address our imperfections or sinful actions? As humans, we're imperfect and bound to err, but the good news is that God's joy lies in our swift return to Him, acknowledging our mistakes, and being mindful of our actions in the present moment."
