SALTI Initiative

We are excited to announce that we have been selected as one of the 2026 Development Grantees of the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund.

Through the support of Naijayouthfund, we will implement Udo Ka Nma (Peace is Better), a community-based peacebuilding initiative designed to promote conflict prevention, early-warning mechanisms, community dialogue, youth engagement, violence prevention, and stronger civic-security trust relationships.

We remain committed to promoting peace, national cohesion, social inclusion, and active citizenship. We believe that sustainable peace cannot be achieved without meaningful dialogue, trust, inclusion, and the active participation of young people and communities in shaping solutions to the challenges affecting them.

This initiative also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16): Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, particularly by promoting peaceful and inclusive communities, strengthening trust and dialogue, and supporting efforts to prevent violence and conflict.

We are deeply grateful to LEAP Africa and the project team at the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund for believing in our vision and supporting youth-led solutions that contribute to a more peaceful, cohesive, and secure Nigeria.

As we begin this journey, we look forward to working with communities, young people, institutions, and partners to demonstrate that: Udo Ka Nma — Peace is Better. 🕊️

This evening, August 8, 2026, by 5 p.m., our Programs Director, Chimezie Ebosie, will be joining SDSN Youth Nigeria to discuss combating voter apathy among young people through grassroots civic engagement.

He will be sharing key insights from our work with the movement and how young people can champion the cause of curbing voter apathy.
