THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE AHEAD OF YOU IN LIFE... BE HUMBLE
Amitabh Bachchan (a bollywood actor) says:
At the peak of my career, I was once travelling by plane. The passenger next to me was elderly gentleman dressed in a simple shirt and pants.
He appeared to be middle class, and well educated.
Other passengers perhaps recognising who I was, but this gentleman appeared to be unconcerned of my presence... He was reading his paper, looking out of the window, and when tea was served, he sipped it quietly.
Trying to strike a conversation with him, I smiled. The man courteously smiled back and said, 'Hello'.
We got talking and I brought up the subject of cinema and movies and asked : "Do you watch films?"
The man replied, 'Oh, very few. I did see one many years ago.'
I mentioned that I worked in the movie industry.
The man replied :
"oh, that’s nice. What do you do?"
I replied :
"I am an actor"
The man nodded, 'Oh, that's wonderful!'
And that was it...
When we landed, I held out my hand and said, " It was good to travel with you. By the way, my name is Amitabh Bachchan!'
The man shook my hand and smiled, "Thank you... nice to have met you...I am *J. R. D. Tata!"*
(Mr TATA is a billionaire industrialist that owns TATA Group of Companies).
I learned on that day that no matter how big you think you are, there is always someone bigger than you. Be humble, it costs nothing.

The pillars of colonialism must be destroyed and the architects of capitalism must be completely neutralized in Africa.
Many Africans were led to believe that they were free after declaring independence from 1950s - 1990s, but a far greater colonialism is still in place.
Those independence proclamations were nothing but a mirage, the colonialists only took off the physical chains and shackles — the freedom and total liberation of our societies have not been achieved yet!
While Elizabeth recently celebrated her diamond jubilee in England, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 is still under decades of British-led sanctions which has completely crippled its economy. Instead of rallying around Zimbabwe, many African leaders were celebrating their ex dictators jubilee. Congratulating Elizabeth while your brothers and sisters are being starved in Zimbabwe by Britain?
Some Africans adore Elizabeth and her royal family so much, meanwhile our brothers and sisters in South Africa 🇿🇦 continue to vacillate between exorbitant enthusiasm and irrational irritability, while the microscopic few apartheid beneficiaries live in byzantine luxury and proprietary solitude.
Do not forget the foreign multinationals crimes in Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩 and the western-backed militias parading the streets of Libya, terrorizing our people. Remember, the destruction of Libya paved way for terrorism to thrive in the Sahara/Sahel regions of Africa.

Top 8 Most Powerful Lessons From The Book "Ego is the Enemy"
1. Your worst enemy lives in you.
"Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, your worst enemy already lives inside you: your ego."
Since pride is in us, it is either we feed it or starve it.
How you deal with your pride makes the big difference.
2. Manage your pride
"Your ego is not some power you’re forced to satiate at every turn. It can be managed. It can be directed."
As soon as you feel you are becoming egoistic, boastful, and proud – you can tell yourself to stop.
3. Pride tells you to talk, humility tells you to listen.
Ego encourages you to lift yourself and base your worth on nothing or false worth.
On the other hand, humility tells you how important it is to listen to people.
4. Become a student
Ego tells you not to listen to anyone.
As a result, you stop learning.
When you become a student, you lay aside your pride.
You admit to yourself that you don’t know everything.
So, if you want to keep on learning, learn to be humble first.
5. Help people become great
Ego focuses on self.
Humility focuses on others.
If you want to become great, you need to help other people become great.
That’s just how the universal law works.
6. Don’t be afraid to take the low position
Ego drives you to make certain decisions just to please others, causing a lot of problems along the way.
Do what other people refuse to do simply because they think they are too important to do it themselves.
7. Ego sways us from our ultimate goal.
"We’re never happy with what we have, we want what others have too.
We start out knowing what is important to us, but once we’ve achieved it, we lose sight of our priorities.
Ego sways us, & can ruin us."
8. Ego is the wicked sister of success & failure
When you succeed, don’t give in to the temptation of feeling important.
Don’t think that you are better than others just because you have succeeded.
When you fail, don’t feel like you have been cheated or u have been sabotaged.

10 Top Lessons From The Book The Alchemist
A book by Paulo Coelho
1. Fear is a bigger obstacle than the obstacle itself
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself.
And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams."
Any new pursuit requires entering uncharted territory -- that's scary. But with any great risk comes great reward.
The experiences you gain in pursuing your dream will make it all worthwhile.
2. What is "true" will always endure
"If what one finds is made of pure matter, it will never spoil. And one can always come back.
If what you had found was only a moment of light, like the explosion of a star, you would find nothing on your return."
~ Truth cannot be veiled by smoke and mirrors -- it will always stand firm.
~ When you're searching for the "right" decision, it will be the one that withstands the tests of time and the weight of scrutiny.
3. Break the monotony
"When each day is the same as the next, it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises."
~ Gratitude is the practice of finding the good in each day.
~ Life can easily become stagnant, mundane, and monotonous, but that changes depending on what we choose to see.
~ There's always a silver lining, if you look for it.
4. Embrace the present
"Because I don't live in either my past or my future. I'm interested only in the present.
If you can concentrate always on the present, you'll be a happy man."
~ There's no point dwelling in the past and letting it define you, nor getting lost and anxious about the future. But in the present moment, you're in the field of possibility
~ How you engage with the present moment will direct your life.
5. Your success has a ripple-effect
"That's what alchemists do. They show that, when we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better, too."
~ Growth, change, and evolution are weaved into the fabric of reality.
~ Becoming a better version of yourself creates a ripple effect that benefits everything around you: your lifestyle, your family, your friends, your community.
6. Make the decision
"When someone makes a decision, he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places he has never dreamed of when he first made the decision."
~ It's easy to get overwhelmed by the unknowns and finer details of your dreams.
~ Actions will flow out of having confidence in your decision; sitting on the fence will get you nowhere.
7. Be unrealistic
"I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does."
~ Some of the greatest inventions would not have happened if people chose to accept the world as it is.
~ Great achievements and innovations begin with a mindset that ignores the impossible.
8. Keep getting back up
"The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times."
Because the eighth time could be your breakthrough.
Some of the greatest novels in history were published after receiving hundreds of rejections. Thankfully, those authors never gave up.
9. Focus on your own journey
"If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry.
Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own."
~ It's easy to be influenced by others, but you'll be miserable if you end up living someone else's life.
~ There's nothing wrong with taking advice and learning from others, but make sure it aligns with your desires and passions.
10. Always take action
"There is only one way to learn. It's through action."

“The cleverest of all, is the man who calls himself a fool at least once a month.” ~Dostoevsky
Only a good sense of humor can see through the cracks in the armor of your hubris. Only humor can deflate the ego without destroying it. Because only humor can get power over power.
The key is to remain self-empowered but not so empowered that you become egocentric and overly serious. Tricky indeed. And only a good sense of humor is trickster enough to pull off the trick. Only a good sense of humor can help you get out of your own way so that you can see “the way” is not clinging to any “way.”
Practice humor over hubris. Keep the will to humor ahead of the will to power. Laugh at yourself and the cosmic joke. Hang a question mark on the things you’ve been taking for granted. Set a tripwire for your certainty. Dangle a noose over your dogmatism. Plant a minefield in your mind field. Dance through all the seriousness with insouciant lightheartedness. Do this, again and again, and the secrets of the universe will not elude you.
