From Training to Action: Erin-Osun Youth Ambassadors Champion Peace at the Grassroots!

The Erin-Osun ambassadors wasted no time in putting their training into action. Alongside their peers, the young peacebuilders embraced a bold mission: to carry the message of peace to the grassroots and inspire young minds to become champions of harmony.

On the 9th of June 2026, they delivered a dynamic Peace Training on Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Non-Violent Communication, and Civic Advocacy for secondary school students across the Erin-Osun community. The training sessions were hosted at ADS Grammar School, Darul-Hekmat International College, and Erin Community Grammar School.

Through immersive workshops, practical mediation exercises, and thought-provoking discussions, the ambassadors equipped students with the skills and confidence to resolve conflicts constructively. The young participants embraced the theme wholeheartedly: "Together we can build peace, peace starts with me."

The ambassadors went beyond the classroom, engaging teachers, school administrators, and community stakeholders—building a broad coalition of peace advocates who will sustain this movement long after the training ends.

The Erin-Osun ambassadors are proving that peace is not just a dream—it is a choice, and they are leading the way. We are immensely proud of their dedication and impact!

From Training to Action: Ifon Youth Ambassadors Carry the Torch of Peace!

Hot on the heels of their intensive training, alongside their peers, the Ifon ambassadors hit the ground running. Their mission was simple yet profound—take the message of peace to the grassroots and ignite a movement among the next generation.

On the 4th of June 2026, they delivered an immersive Peace Training on Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Non-Violent Communication, and Civic Advocacy for secondary school students across the Ifon community. The training was hosted at Ifon-Erin Community High School, Orolu Community High School, and Taribiyyah Comprehensive School.

Through hands-on workshops, real-life mediation scenarios, and open, honest dialogue, the ambassadors equipped students with the tools to transform disagreements into opportunities for understanding. The young participants rose to the challenge, fully embracing the spirit of the theme: "Together we can build peace, peace starts with me."

But the ambassadors didn't stop at the students. They engaged teachers, school administrators, and community stakeholders—building a network of peace advocates who will carry this work forward long after the training ends. The ripple effects of their efforts will echo through the community for years to come.

The Ifon ambassadors are living proof that when young people lead, peace follows. We celebrate their courage, commitment, and impact!

From Training to Action: Ilobu Youth Ambassadors Take Peace to the Grassroots!

Following the intensive training of 30 Youth Ambassadors—10 from each of the three communities the Ilobu cohort wasted no time in translating their learning into action. They took their capstone projects directly to the grassroots, ensuring that the message of peace reaches the next generation.

On the 20th and 21st of May 2026, the ambassadors facilitated a transformative Peace Training on Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Non-Violent Communication, and Civic Advocacy for secondary school students across four schools in the Ilobu community: Ilobu Grammar School, Laarosin Grammar School, Ridwanullahi Model School, and An Nur Group of School.

Through interactive workshops, hands-on mediation drills, and engaging sensitization sessions, the ambassadors equipped students with practical tools to resolve disagreements peacefully. The students were not passive listeners they were active participants, fully embracing the theme: "Together we can build peace, peace starts with me."

Beyond the students, the ambassadors also engaged teachers, school administrators, and local stakeholders, creating a ripple effect that ensures these conversations continue long after the project ends. By placing young people at the center of the solution, they are building a future where peace is not just preached—but practiced daily.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, passion, and the lasting impact they are creating across the Ilobu community.

Over the weekend, the Future Builders Initiative - FBI joined other stakeholders at the Citizens' Townhall Meeting in Osun, organized by the Civil Society Network on Electoral Integrity

The conversation moved beyond campaign promises to the responsibilities that belong to everyone in the electoral process. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to competence and integrity, to ensure the election is free, fair and safe.

But beyond institutional preparedness, one message echoed throughout the room: vote, not fight. Citizens were reminded that selling a vote comes at the cost of holding leaders accountable, while exercising the right to vote freely remains one of the strongest ways to shape the future of Osun.

As the state moves closer to the governorship election, the conversations cannot end here. Democracy is strengthened when citizens stay informed, ask difficult questions, reject electoral violence, and participate with purpose. Be the voice that shapes the future.

To the people of Osun you are not just voters, you are deciders. Your vote is your power. Come out, cast your ballot, and make your voice heard.
