My Christmas Day photograph had to go to this handsome robin, who visited me most mornings at my stall inside the Long Gallery in Haddon Hall during the Christmas Artisan Market this year. Clearly a very clever chap, he'd obviously discovered an easy way in and out through a gap in a window, and naturally preferred the grandeur of one of the most beautiful rooms in England to bedding down outside in a hedge. One morning he posed perfectly for me right next to the festive decorations, and I like to think it was his way of thanking me for not telling any of the staff about his very special lodgings. 🤫
