Following the dissolution of heads of state executive Council, Special advisers and heads of MDAs by the Borno state government, the management of BO-IRS today handed over the affairs of the revenue agency to the most senior technical Director Hamma Kolo, the group Head revenue operations.

We profoundly thank His Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, the executive Governor of Borno state for giving us the opportunity to serve our dear state.

Celebrating an outstanding individual Tujja Rufaian!!!

Mr Tujja Rufaian has shown great foresight and excellent problem solving techniques, he set up the taxpayers service Dept in BO-IRS to ensure prompt and efficient service to taxpayers in Borno state.

POSs and other payment options were also made available for customers who wish to pay or rectify their taxes and other fees and levies at the customer service corner.

He is one of the 3 FIRS staff approved by Prof Babagana Umara Zulum to work on leave of absence at BO-IRS.

BO-IRS and indeed the entire Borno state government is proud of him.

BO-IRS held its 2023 corporate retreat today Monday the 19th of December 2022.

The retreat was a review of the 2022 performance and plan for 2023. The retreat held at the multi purpose hall of BO-IRS in Maiduguri.

The commissioner for Finance Alhaji Adamu Lawan gave a key note address where he commended BO-IRS for a very good performance in 2022 and highlighted the 2023 expectations of Borno state government from BO-IRS.

The EC BO-IRS welcomed participants for the retreat and called for a robust and productive engagement from participants that will bring about ideas for the continued growth and development of IGR in Borno state.

Representatives from Borno state Geographical information system and Borno state Road traffic and control management agency attended the opening ceremony of the event.

BO-IRS management today the 13th of December 2022 were at the Borno state House of Assembly to defend its 2023 revenue, capital and overhead budgets

The meeting was chaired by the House Committee on Finance. The Committee commended the revenue agency for exceeding its approved revenue budget for 2022 by 100% as at the end November 2022

The BO-IRS EC Mohammed Alkali thanked the Finance committee for its continuous support to the revenue agency.
