Governor Ododo Visits Iluke, Promises Stronger Security After Deadly Attack.

HE. Ahmed Usman Ododo visited Iluke in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area to commiserate with families following Wednesday’s tragic attack that claimed the lives of three people, including a school Vice Principal.

Accompanied by security chiefs, the governor confirmed that notorious bandit leader had been neutralized and announced additional security measures aimed at strengthening the safety of Iluke and surrounding communities.

Governor Ododo reiterated his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on banditry, called for stronger collaboration between residents and security agencies, and reaffirmed his commitment to making Kogi State a safe and secure place for all. He assured the affected families and the wider community that the government would continue taking decisive steps to protect lives and property.

THE PALACE OF HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, ATA-IGALA.
Idah Kogi State.

The ā€˜OĢ€lógbóoĢ€-AĢ€tá’(Palace of the Ata-Igala) Ídá. Situated on the summit of a cliff, the palace overlooks the River Niger which Igala native speakers call ā€˜OĢ€hiĢ€miĢ€niĢ€ fufu, as it makes its way southward, heading progressively to the Atlantic Ocean into which it empties its watery baggage.

Behind the OĢ£doĢ£goĢ£ Cliff, which stands at a towering height shy of 190 feet above sea level, is the King’s Palace. It is from there that traditional authority reverberates across the Igala Kingdom, From the seat of power he communes with the gods, the spirits of his ancestors, the chain of kings that have ruled the land since antiquity.
