Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Back again! So as I wait for a good game to come out, Call of Duty MW2 to be precise, I am looking for a good game to play. I heard great things about the game, actually the decision was made easily by the Sony commercial, hot girls+video games= hope for us nerds. So what the hell lets do it! From the guys that brought you Crash Bandicoot and……. Ummmm…… Crash Bandicoot Racing here is the review of Uncharted 2.

The game starts out great! Its extremely interactive, the voice dialogue is great and the voice acting is good as well. Graphics for this game look clean and the buttons are easy to learn and use. It starts off with you being all beat up and in a big crash, now the amount of damage done to your body is worse than the end of a Chris Brown date, and it shows it throughout the game. The game play works itself back and forth from the time starting out as the treasure hunter to the finish and as you play through the game you are able to piece it together. Its kinda like ODST but not sh*tty with a far less confusing storyline.The game progresses and the storyline becomes more intriguing.

The game really pulls the player in with a ton of great cut scene action sequences and a compelling storyline. This is probably the most interactive game I have played for a long time. It turns out that the main character Drake is actually quite funny and actually gets caught up working with a couple ex girlfriends throughout parts of the game. The girls in this game are actually well done for animated girls, unlike the she-males in halo, a cut scene can possibly give you enough to time to…… *cough* Back to the game, the game increasingly becomes more interesting with harder puzzles and better gun battles Working with a variety of great characters makes the game feel fresh and progresses the storyline.

There are little problems I found with the game. The free range camera kinda blows, Its like I’m following the amazing race with 3rd person shooters but it manages. Jumping from one obstacle to the next can be painful. The son of a bitch thinks its ok to jump the wrong direction and fall down a huge mountain!? I don’t think so. Use common sense Drake you bastard. Also the shooting was sometimes hard to work. I would put more bullets in a guy that 50 cent and they still wouldn’t die. WTF! Annoying.

Also there are 100 treasures you can find throughout the game, I only found about 20 and I actually looked. Bu****it side game if you ask me.From climbing train cars, to scaling mountains, to jumping from huge pillars, Uncharted brings the gamer up close with their surroundings. Having beautiful cinematic cutscenes with surreal statues and surroundings the game brings a level of realism that has yet to be seen. You are able to shoot from mountains, jump down and sneak around on people. The game really allows the player to do basically anything they can think of.

There is backstabbing, betrayals, and all kinds of plot twists. It feels like your playing in a feature length film. The gameplay took me about 10 hours to finish, leaving the thing on pause every now and again to creep on facebook and search dirty words and see what comes up. Anyway the game was amazing, the AI was great and as the game progressed it kept getting harder and harder, this is where I associate the game with good p**n. So after saving your ex girlfriends throughout the game (personally I would’ve just let mine die) you are a hero. I don’t wanna ruin the ending for you but they all die like in Titanic.

Online 7/10I played the multiplayer for a few games, the layout of the maps are great but I would get shot quicker than a white guy at a Jay Z concert.

It was fun and the learning curve wasn’t too bad either but it takes some practice to get good. They tried to mimic the CoD franchise so there is a little crossover for those people.

All in all the online experience was a good time.This is a must have game for any PS3 owner, I would pay upwards of $80 for this game
