THE LORD CHOOSE SOLOMON TO SUCCEED DAVID . TO BUILD THE TEMPLE. HE APPEARED TO SOLOMON TWICE.

But all the encounters with God didn't stop or immune Solomon from acquiring several women , he couldn't help but want to please them, so he allowed them bring in their gods and serve strange gods from the royal Palace.

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 NLT
[9] “

And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

[10] So take this seriously. The Lord has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work.”

I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT AS CHRISTIANS , to continuously pray and surrender our minds and will to God.

Part of verse 9 says ......"Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord"

Asking God for a miñd willing to serve, willing to obey, willing to leave holy and righteous, is a good prayer to pray daily.

A Willing mind was what Hezekiah had, and he patterned his Kingship after David , even though the Kings before him didn't do so well.

Asking God daily TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE IN US, ought to be our daily prayer as children of God.

If you knew David when he was a shepherd, you would have thought his strength was for killing lons and bears only. You probably would have thought, he kills lions and beats , so? That ability didn't look too great, not needed in civilisation only in the bush. Nothing prepared anyone for what the Lord was planning to do with the David's ability to face the lion and bear boldly with scampering.

When your gift, talent, ability, strength is dedicated to God , service of God and humanity, when you allow God to breathe on your talents and skills, there is no telling of what God will transform them into.

When the entire Isreal military plus the king was scampering away from Goliath. God brought the One whose skill of boldly facing lions and bears HE has breathed upon , to face Goliath.

Also, who would have that it was Kingship God planned for David but his preparation was in the bush. A thankless job. The job that none of his older brothers wanted.

Surrender your gift, talents, strengths, and abilities to God. HE can turn your ability to face and kill a lion to ability to face and kill a feiry giant.

Today, I declare I am the light of the world, a city set on a hill. I have global visibility. My light shines brighter day by day. Amen.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places so I have a goodly heritage. What scripture did you speak over yourself today?

Marvel how we can't exhaust the Word of God. You cannot say I have read it all, I know it all, that's why we study it daily. Remember to take in today's dose.

You need both the blood of Jesus and the words of your testimony to overcome what the enemy throws at you. What is the word of your testimony? What you say in church , No.

It is what you say when discussing with your friends, colleagues, family , in the market, when you are weary and frustrated.

The things you say to anyone and everyone when you are at your lowest. Consciously and unconsciously .

What you say when you are gisting with fellow believers and you are consciously speaking christianese. What you say to strangers who do not know you as a believer. When you are in circles where you are trying hard to fit in.

What you say in those moments you forget you are a believer. 😁

As believers we sow / plant with our mouth. Our words being the seeds.

Don't expect to harvest yam because you prayed when what you planted with your words was maggot. 😢

Did you know that Abraham was the first man to Ja-pa? Yes! More than 2000 years ago , one Tuesday morning, before the c**k crew, Abraham carried his wife, his father and nephew, Lot, and ja- paed to the Abroad. The Abroad favoured him but did not favour Lot.

Moral of the story. Japa is not for everyone. 😁

Our churches in the deliverance stream has made some of us believers feel that someone somewhere could be the source of your problems.

Thinking that one uncle somewhere or aunty, who is a witch is the reason one is not moving forward.

That's why we coined the word " VILLAGE PEOPLE"

As a child of God, if there is one person who could be the source of your problem, it is you. Look into the mirror.

Why ? Because the Word of God over declares " that no weapon formed or fashioned against you shall prosper"

If ever , village people's weapon prosper , it is your fault.

Check list : 1) IF YOU PRAY LONG ENOUGH, EMPHASIS ON LONG. ( some can't pray up to 2 hours daily)

2) FAST AS OFTEN AS YOU SHOULD

3) STUDY GOD'S WORD DAILY FOR ATLEAST 1 HOUR

4) MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD, MAKE YOUR DECLARATION S

5) WORSHIP AS YOU SHOULD

6) LIVE IN OBEDIENCE


It is the village people who will be running from you. Discard the victim mentality. The rod of the wicked can never rest on you.

When you read the 4 gospels especially the book of John where Jesus said " I am the bread that came down from heaven"
With the benefit of hindsight, we tend to judge the pharisees, saducees, and the some of the followers of Jesus for their attitude towards Christ. For not believing Christ. But are we any better than them?

Imagine knowing someone for 30 years and then he wakes up one morning and begins to call himself the Son of God, the Messiah, telling you he came down from heaven when you know his father, mother and siblings. Would you not hiss and call him names?

Today's world would have done worse things to Jesus.

Imagine the criticism some pastors face now even after Jesus has died and given us power to do greater works than HE did. Some are highly criticised for daring to do the greater works , Jesus commanded us to do.

Today's world would have called Jesus boastful but you know what, as a child of God, you must come to that point where the world also thinks you are boastful.

You need to always boldly and unashamedly declare God's word over yourself " I cannot fail" I must succeed. I am a winner, I cannot be sick. I can never be poor. I am a miracle worker, say them with a knowing and conviction that would others call you boastful.

Make declarations boldly with full conviction not half- heartedly . Like Nigerians would say, do it with your full chest. Some like to say these things secretly fearing the outburst and criticism of family and friends, but until you can declare these things boldly anywhere and everywhere, you have not believed these words. Believe these words and declare them with conviction and confidence in God.

Be outspoken, be as audacious as Christ.

Declare : I am blessed, I am highly favoured, I have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God. God's grace is mighty upon me. The lines have fallen unto me in pleasant places, I have a goodly heritage. I am a sign and a wonder. Amen.
