In all you do as a freelancer, try to get your potential client's WhatsApp.

Seriously... and I keep saying this.

Whenever someone shows interest in my work, I try to move the conversation to WhatsApp.

Not because I expect them to hire me immediately, but because I don't want the conversation to disappear.

Just this morning, I followed up with a potential client that chatted me sometime last week.

We hadn't even agreed on the price.

A few messages later…

He paid me $110.

And I can't even remember whether he originally found me through TikTok, Instagram, or X.

All I know is that he was in my WhatsApp.

And this isn't the first time.

Even the ₦450K/mth project I landed last month who also came through my WhatsApp status.

That's why I see my WhatsApp as a list of potential clients.

Some will buy.

Some won't.

But they're there.

So if you're a freelancer, get their WhatsApp.

You never know which conversation will turn into your next payment.
