PRAYING FOR THE BELOVED WHO…
…wonders whether God is disappointed in them.

Beloved,

Have you ever wanted to pray, but felt too ashamed to look toward God?

You did the very thing you promised Him you wouldn't do again. You asked for forgiveness. You promised to change. You meant every word. Yet here you are again.

Now when you think of God, you wonder if He is disappointed or tired of forgiving you.

Perhaps you still worship, but one frightening thought keeps returning:

“Surely, God must be tired of me by now.”

Let's pray today.

Father,

Your child is afraid that when You look at them, all You see is what they have done wrong.

Where they have confused conviction with rejection, bring truth. Where shame rehearses their failures, let grace speak louder. Where they believe they have exhausted Your patience, show them Jesus.

Remind them of Peter, who promised loyalty and then denied Jesus three times. After the resurrection, Jesus did not humiliate him. He made breakfast, sat with him, and restored him.

Father, let Your child know that failure has not made them disgusting to You. Help them see the difference between loving correction and shame that tells them to hide.

Where repentance is needed, give them courage. Where restoration is needed, restore. Where change is needed, give them grace.

Please, do not let shame impersonate Your voice.

Let them know Your love is not permission to remain bound; it is the safe place from which transformation can begin.

When they lift their eyes toward You, let them meet not a Father eager to say, “Look what you've done,” but One who says, “Come closer. Let Me help you.”

Teach them to receive mercy without running from truth.

Tonight, may someone avoiding You finally whisper:

“Father, I'm here.”

May they discover that You have not stopped loving them.

In Jesus' name, Amen. 🤍

If this prayer touched the place where shame has been speaking loudly, you don't have to explain what happened.

Just write: “Pray for me.”

We will.

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY — MEET JESUS AGAIN
WHEN EVERYONE HAS A STONE
John 8:1–11

She was standing in the middle.

Her failure exposed.
Her dignity stripped away.
And around her were people holding stones.

Then they brought her to Jesus.

Perhaps that is how some of us have learned to see Him:
The One we should hide from until we have fixed ourselves.

But watch Jesus.

Meet Him again.

The religious leaders wanted to shame her.

Then He stood and said:

“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

One by one, the stones walked away in human hands.

Until it was just the woman and Jesus.

Just you and Jesus.

Jesus asked:
“Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

“No one, Lord.”

Then Jesus said:
“Neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Jesus did not call darkness light.
But neither did He crush the person standing in it.

Grace did not deny the truth.
Truth did not cancel grace.

He does not say your choices don't matter.
And He does not say your mistakes make you worthless.

He removes the weight of shame—and then calls you into freedom.

Maybe the loudest voice in your head says:

How could you?
You knew better.
Look at you.

But ask yourself:

Whose voice are you hearing?

Shame says:
“You are what you did.”

Jesus says:
“Neither do I condemn you. Now come out of what is destroying you.”

Jesus does not throw stones at wounded people.
And He does not leave them trapped in what wounded them.

He gives grace and speaks truth.

So if you have been hiding from Jesus because you think He is waiting with a stone—

meet Him again.

Come exactly where you are.

And pray:

“Jesus, teach me grace and truth.
Where shame has made me hide from You, bring me closer.
Where I need forgiveness, let me receive it.
Where I need transformation, give me courage to follow You.
Let Your voice become louder than every voice of shame.”

🌿 MEET JESUS AGAIN

The hands of Jesus are not holding stones.
They are inviting you into freedom.

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL WEDNESDAY, BELOVED!❤️— WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU LEARNED TO HIDE BECAUSE YOU WERE AFRAID OF WHAT PEOPLE IN CHURCH WOULD THINK?

Heart focus: Shame & Secrecy

Sometimes you hid because you were afraid.

Afraid someone would say, “And you call yourself a pastor's child?”
Afraid your struggle would become gossip.
Afraid your questions would be called rebellion.

So you learned silence.

Maybe you hid your doubts, mistakes, struggles with faith, or simply the fact that you were hurting.

Secrecy may have protected you temporarily, but it may also have left you carrying things alone.

Beloved, hear this:

Shame says, “If they really knew me, they would reject me.”

But grace says, “God already knows, and He is still calling you closer.”

When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid. And God asked, “Where are you?” — Genesis 3:9

God was calling hiding people back into relationship.

Maybe He is asking you the same today:

Where are you?

Not, “What will people think?”
But, “Where are you, My child?”

God is not intimidated by what you haven't told anybody. Your questions don't frighten Him. Your struggle does not disqualify you from coming near.

Not every story should be told publicly. Some things need wise, confidential, trustworthy support.

Privacy is not dishonesty. Boundaries are not rebellion.

There is a difference between privacy that protects healing and secrecy that imprisons the heart.

HOW IS YOUR HEART?!

What is something you learned to hide because you were afraid of what people in church would think?

You don't have to write it here. Perhaps tonight, somewhere private, whisper:

“Father, this is the thing I've been afraid to bring into the light...”

Let grace answer shame. Let mercy answer fear. Let the Father's presence remind you:

“I already knew, My child. Come closer.”

May what you have carried secretly lose its power over your heart. May shame loosen its grip.

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL TUESDAY, BELOVED!❤️

🖤 PKRA’S TUESDAY — LET’S TALK ABOUT IT:
WHEN YOUR PARENT IS EVERYONE ELSE'S PASTOR

Heart Question:
What happens when everyone seems to have access to your parent, but you need them?

Everybody knows your parent. Someone calls them Pastor. Someone else calls them Daddy. Another says Mummy.

But somewhere inside is a sentence you feel guilty for thinking:

“I need them too.”

You can honour your parent's calling and still wish you had more of them.

Maybe family time was interrupted. Someone always needed counselling. Ministry followed your family home.

But children don't experience intentions.
Children experience presence.

Sometimes a child can understand the mission while still missing the parent.

Beloved, needing your parent was never selfish.

You were their child. You were allowed to want laughter, attention, affection, time, and to hear, “How are you doing?”

Acknowledging the ache does not mean you hate your parents. It does not make their ministry fake.

But disappointment with a minister-parent can quietly become disappointment with God.

You may begin thinking:
“Ministry takes people away.”
“Everybody matters more than me.”

Beloved, hear this:
God is not too busy for you.
You are not interrupting Him.
You don't have to become useful before He becomes interested.

Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

God does not only want your service.
He wants your heart.

Today, PKRA asks:
How was it for you?
What picture of God did that experience leave inside you?

God is not everybody else's Father who occasionally has time for you.
He is your Father too.

🌿 LET’S TALK ABOUT IT.

You can appreciate your parent's ministry and still acknowledge where you needed more. Both things can be true.

Don't let yesterday's absence convince you of God's absence today.

Come home to the Father.

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY, BELOVED!❤️

🖤 PKRA’S MONDAY LOVE LETTER TITLED: WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE A DISAPPOINTMENT"

Dear Beloved,

Have you ever looked at your life and thought:
“This isn't who I was supposed to become.”

Maybe there are choices you wish you could undo.
And perhaps the hardest thought:
“I think I've disappointed God.”

Beloved, come closer!

Remember: repentance is not rejection. It is the doorway back into fellowship.

Your failure did not surprise Him into loving you less.

He knew Peter would deny Jesus before Peter ever said, “I don't know Him.”

And yet Jesus told Peter:
“I have prayed for you… and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” — Luke 22:32

Did you notice that?

Jesus saw Peter's failure coming.
But He also saw beyond it.

Peter saw denial.
Jesus saw restoration.

Jesus still saw the man He would use.

Beloved, perhaps you have stared at your failure so long that you have forgotten to look at your Father.

You do not have to clean yourself up before coming home.

Yes, some choices have consequences. Sometimes we need to repent, apologise, and rebuild.
Grace does not pretend failure doesn't matter.

But grace declares:
Failure does not get the final word.

The Father who saw the prodigal son returning did not demand an explanation.

He ran.
He embraced him.
He restored him.
He called him son before the son could earn anything back.

Stop promising, “Father, I'll do better and then I'll come close.”

Come close now.

Bring the mess.
Come back home.
Bring the regret.
Bring the tears.
Bring the version of yourself you are ashamed to have become.

Dear Beloved,

You may have failed.
But you are not beyond restoration.

You may have disappointed people.
But disappointment has not cancelled the Father's love.

Come home.

There is still a Father waiting to receive you.

And when He looks at you, He still knows exactly who you are:

His beloved child. ❤️

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY, BELOVED!❤️

🖤 PKRA’S SUNDAY — THE FATHER IS STILL WAITING 🌿.

JESUS HAS NOT CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT YOU!

Beloved,

There was probably a time when saying the name Jesus felt different.

Before you became tired of trying.
Before you made choices you never imagined you would make.

Maybe once, Jesus felt close.

And now?

You are not sure what He thinks about you.

Perhaps you imagine He loved the younger version of you—the innocent, passionate version who prayed and served, before you made that mistake.

But this version?

You wonder if He still wants this one.

Beloved, listen carefully:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
— Hebrews 13:8

You changed.
Your circumstances changed.
Some people who promised to stay didn't.

But Jesus has not changed.

The Jesus who restored Peter after Peter denied Him is still Jesus.

The Jesus who touched the rejected, sat with the unwanted and moved toward the ashamed is still Jesus.

And the Jesus who loved you when your faith was uncomplicated has not become disgusted because your story became messy.

Maybe people changed toward you.
Maybe you disappointed yourself so deeply that you assumed God must be disappointed too.

But don't build your picture of Jesus from changing people.

Look at Jesus again.

Today, I don't want you to promise Him anything.

Don't promise you'll never struggle again.

Just find somewhere quiet.

And for one minute, say only His name:

Jesus.

Then be still.

You are simply turning your face toward Someone who never turned His away.

Jesus.

Maybe that name is your whole prayer today.

Maybe coming home begins not with finding who you used to be—but with discovering that Jesus is still who He has always been.

Beloved,

He has not changed His mind about you.

The Father is still waiting.
The door is still open.
And Jesus is still here. 🤍

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY, BELOVED!❤️

🖤 PKRA'S SATURDAY- THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID;
“I FELT LIKE MY MISTAKES BELONGED TO EVERYBODY.”

“Other children could make mistakes. Mine felt like they could become church announcements.”

I don't think I was afraid of making mistakes because I wanted to be perfect.

I was afraid because somehow, my mistakes never seemed to belong to me alone.

If another child misbehaved, they were corrected.

If I misbehaved, sometimes it felt bigger.

“And you are the pastor's child?”

“What will people say?”

“Do you know who your parents are?”

“You should know better.”

And slowly, I began to understand:

My behaviour wasn't just my behaviour.

It could become a reflection of my parents.

Their parenting.

Their ministry.

Even their spirituality.

So I learned to calculate everything.

What I wore.

Who I spoke to.

Where I went.

What I posted.

Who I dated.

How loudly I laughed.

What questions I asked.

Even what mistakes I was allowed to make.

Because somewhere in my mind was always the same thought:

“What if somebody sees me?

And perhaps that is one of the strangest pressures of growing up around ministry.

Sometimes you are not simply learning right from wrong.

You are learning how not to embarrass people.

So when I eventually did make mistakes, I didn't always think:

“I need help.”

Sometimes my first thought was:

“I need to make sure nobody finds out.”

And that changes something inside a child.

Because when mistakes become dangerous to reveal, hiding can begin to feel safer than healing.

You learn to manage appearances instead of asking for help.

You become more afraid of exposure than concerned about restoration.

And sometimes, without anyone intending it, you begin to imagine God the same way:

Watching.

Waiting.

Disappointed.

Ready to expose you.

But then I met Jesus differently.

I noticed how He dealt with people who had failed.

He didn't pretend sin didn't matter.

But neither did He reduce people to their worst moment.

He restored.

He forgave.

He corrected.

He called people forward.

And slowly I began to understand:

Conviction says, “Come back.”
Shame says, “Go and hide.”

Beloved PK,

you will make mistakes.

Some may be small.

Some may have consequences.

Some may require repentance, apology, accountability and change.

But hear this clearly:

You are allowed to be a human being who is still becoming.

Your mistake is not your surname.

Your failure is not your parents' entire ministry.

And your worst moment does not get the final word over your identity.

You don't have to become perfect to protect everyone.

You need somewhere safe enough to become whole.

And perhaps today, the thing you have never said is:

“I made a mistake, and I was more afraid of disappointing everyone than I was able to ask for help.”

If that's you—

you are not the only one.

Come out of hiding.

Not necessarily before everybody.

But before God.

And before someone safe enough to help you heal.

There is still grace for the part of your story you hoped nobody would ever know.

🌿THE THINGS WE NEVER SAID

Some stories don't need judgement.
They need somewhere safe to be heard.

You are more than the worst thing you have ever done.

🔥 IT’S ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY, BELOVED!❤️

✨ PKRA’S FRIDAY;PRAYING FOR THE BELOVED WHO…
…feels closer to everyone else than they feel to God.

Beloved,

You still believe in God.

You may still go to church.

You may still sing the songs, say Amen, serve when needed, and even encourage other people to trust Him.

But if you were completely honest…

God feels far away.

And perhaps what makes it harder is that everybody else seems easier to reach.

You can pick up your phone and talk to a friend.

You can laugh with people.

You can scroll for hours.

You can pour yourself into work, relationships, ministry, family—anything that keeps your heart occupied.

But when everything becomes quiet and it is just you and God…

you don't quite know what to say anymore.

Maybe there was once a time when you couldn't wait to be with Him.

Now prayer sometimes feels like work.

The Bible feels distant.

Worship doesn't reach the places it used to.

And somewhere inside, you are wondering:

“What happened to me?”

Beloved, today we are not praying to shame you back into God's presence.

We are not going to tell you that you should pray more, fast more, read more or simply “try harder.”

Maybe you already know all of that.

Today, we are simply praying for you.

Father,

Your child misses You.

Maybe they haven't said it like that.

Maybe they have buried the longing underneath distractions.

But somewhere beneath everything else…

they miss You.

Please meet them there.

Not at the place where everyone thinks they should be spiritually.

Meet them where they actually are.

If disappointment created the distance, meet them in the disappointment.

If unanswered questions created the distance, sit with their questions.

If pain made them withdraw, come gently toward the wounded places.

If shame has made them afraid to return, let Your love become louder than their shame.

And if they don't even know why they drifted…

Father, don't make them solve themselves before they can come home.

Remind them of the Jesus who noticed two disciples walking away from Jerusalem in Luke 24.

He walked with them.

He listened.

He let them talk.

And before they even recognised Him,

Jesus was already beside them.

Father, let that be someone's experience today.

Before they feel You,

be near.

Before they find the right words,

be near.

Before their desire returns,

be near.

Before they become consistent again,

be near.

And perhaps tonight, let prayer become very simple again.

No performance.

No long sentences.

Just:

“God, I miss You.

And may the Beloved discover that the distance they feel has never been greater than the distance Your love is willing to cross.

Bring them home gently.

Not merely back to church.

Not merely back to religious activity.

Back to You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.🤍

Beloved, if you miss God but don't quite know how to find your way back, you don't need to explain.

Simply write:
Pray for me.

We will.
