PDP WELCOMES STATE PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOLLOWING GRANT OF BAIL

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Led by Hon. Issa Adamu Bawa, has expressed delight over the release of its State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara Sholyment, who was granted bail today 15-06-2026 after spending weeks in remand.

The party joins members, supporters, and the entire PDP family across Kwara State in celebrating his release and safe return.

It would be recalled that Mr. Olushegun Olushola Adewara was remanded following proceedings initiated by the Kwara State Government led AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq. However, today’s decision by the court to grant him bail has been received with great relief and appreciation by party faithful across the state.

The PDP leadership commends the legal team that diligently handled the matter and reaffirms its confidence in the rule of law and the judicial process.

The party remains steadfast in its commitment to democratic principles, freedom of expression, and the protection of the rights of all citizens, irrespective of political affiliation.

We welcome our State Publicity Secretary back and look forward to his continued contributions towards strengthening the party and advancing the cause of good governance in Kwara State.

KWARA PDP RECEIVES HON. MOSHOOD MUSTAPHA, SUPPORTERS AT PARTY SECRETARIAT

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Led by Hon. Isa Adamu Bawa, today, June 13, 2026, received former lawmaker, Hon. Moshood Mustapha, alongside his supporters and political associates, at the PDP State Secretariat in Ilorin on a familiarization visit.

In a statement issued by the State Assistant Publicity Secretary, Mr. Bashir Ashura, the party expressed its delight at receiving Hon. Moshood Mustapha (MM) and his supporters at the PDP State Secretariat in Ilorin, describing the visit as a significant step toward strengthening unity and advancing the collective aspirations of the party in Kwara State.

Speaking during the visit, the State Secretary of the party, Hon. Abdullahi Kayode Rahman, welcomed Hon. Mustapha and his entourage, describing him as an accomplished and distinguished politician whose contributions to legislative development and public service remain commendable.

Also speaking, the State Deputy Chairman of the party Chief Mrs Macarthy acknowledged Hon. Mustapha’s visit and praised his loyalty. He described the former lawmaker as someone whose political maturity and dedication to the progress of the state continue to earn him admiration across political divides.

While addressing party members and supporters, Hon. Moshood Mustapha (MM) expressed appreciation to the leader of the party, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON, describing him as a visionary leader who has nurtured and empowered countless men, women, and youths across Kwara State.

He stated that he remains a proud member of the Saraki political family and reaffirmed his commitment to working with other stakeholders to reclaim Kwara State from the APC-led administration, which he said has failed to provide the leadership and direction needed to drive the state towards prosperity.

According to him, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains the only credible platform capable of delivering good governance, sustainable development, and a better future for the people of Kwara State.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Isa Adamu Bawa, commended Hon. Moshood Mustapha for the bold step of visiting the party secretariat and engaging with the leadership of the party. He noted that the PDP remains a united and inclusive platform working towards the development of Kwara State and the advancement of democratic governance.

The Chairman assured Hon. Mustapha and his supporters of the party’s readiness to work and restore good governance to the people of Kwara State.
