My boss owes us four months' salary; life has been difficult because we couldn’t buy what we need. We barely survive on tips from customers. During service, the pastor announced an unfinished church project and asked members to donate. The pastor started with 10 million naira. Guess who was the third person to stand up? My boss stood up and made an instant transfer of 10 million naira into the church account, and the rest of the 15 people who stood up did the same.

My colleague and I were shocked. We pinched ourselves and decided to approach the pastor after the service. We told him everything, but he refused to believe us, saying, “How can a devoted member owe his staff four months' salary when he can donate 10 million naira instantly?”

The pastor asked the protocol to call my boss, but he had already left. The pastor dismissed us, believing we wanted to frame his church member.

Now, the main problem is: Is this what Christianity is all about? Robbing Peter to give to Paul? Rich men donating to church projects but refusing to pay their workers and domestic staff? How can my boss not have our salary but has 10 million naira to donate to a church project? Will God bless him for donating to the church and refusing to pay his workers?
