🎉 Pattern release! 🎉

The “fast flyer” sweater pattern is LIVE on .ravelry and available in 7 sizes - from XS to 3X. It designed to fit with approximately 8”-12” of positive ease, making it super cozy and easy to wear. And the best part? - it’s totally beginner friendly. It’s worked from the bottom up and involves only very little seaming at the shoulders. Grab a copy now by clicking the Ravelry link in my bio, and enjoy a 30% discount until Monday the 14th of October ☺️.

About the inspiration: This sweater is the latest installment in my ongoing series of Disney character inspired crochet and knitwear (which I think I’m going to start calling “Disknits” 🤔... yes? No?). The character inspiration behind this design is Vidia, resident fast flying fairy of Pixie Hollow, and main antagonist in the first Tinkerbell movie.
The main element of Vidia’s look I wanted to capture was the bottom edge detailing created by the feathers at the base of her top (at least I think they’re feathers 😅), which I conveyed through the use of back and front post stitches. For the rest of the sweater, I kept it pretty simple, and just let this beautiful yarn do all the talking. I also opted for a slight V-neck shape at the neckline to tie in the character inspiration a little further ☺️.

I really hope you guys like the pattern. I had so much fun designing this and collaborating with . I can’t wait to see all your versions! ☺️💕

I totally had plans to spend this weekend pattern writing, but then the other day, I received a delivery from and well, I couldn’t resist the urge to cast on this project right away, so ya those plans changed 😅. So now I’m knitting up a new design ☺️💙.

What are your weekend plans?

Side note: I feel like I just need to talk about this for a second because not only are they super soft, with amazing drape, but the packaging is honestly just the cutest thing ever! Each ball comes with an info card tied to it with a ribbon, instead of just a regular label and it’s just the most precious thing. I feel like I’m opening a little gift each time I start with a new ball lol 😅😂.

Oh my gosh guys, look what I finished this week! My first knit sweater! 💃🏿🎉🎊. And I absolutely LOVE it! I wore it to school the other day and let me tell you, I felt so proud walking around thinking “yup, I made this” 😅. I even got a couple compliments on it which felt so great. To be honest, I was kinda hard to miss in all this neon 😅😂. Now I just want to knit garments non stop.
Pattern: made up by me ☺️
What’s a project you’ve finished recently that you’re really proud of? I’d love to hear about it 💕.

Hey friends 👋🏿, it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face around here, so I thought it’d be fun to do a post and share some facts about me today ☺️💕
•••••
1. Besides knitting and crocheting, I also really enjoy reading. I don’t really read as much as I used to anymore though, mainly because I can’t manage to put my yarn down long enough to pick up a book 😅.
2. My birthday’s on the 23rd of July which makes me a Leo ♌️, but right on the cusp of cancer ♋️. (My moon sign is Sagittarius, and my ascendant is Capricorn).
3. I have a massive sweet tooth, and donuts and candy are two of my favorite things 🍩🍭
4. If I could be an animal, I’d love to be a sloth because I think they’re the coolest and I could really see myself fitting right in with the sloth life 😁
5. My go-to style is an oversized T-shirt/ sweater with some skinny jeans.
6. I’m a huge fan of Disney movies and I never get tired of rewatching all the classics. (I actually just rewatched the little mermaid for like the millionth time today and it really was just as good as the first time 😅 🐠 🐚)

So ya, that’s me 😅. I’d love to learn more about you guys too, so feel feee to share a fun fact about yourself in the comments ☺️💕💕

Taking the time to soak in all the cozy hygge vibes I can this weekend, in between all the work I have to do ☕️ 🍂.
Here’s a project I’ve been working on behind the scenes for the last couple of weeks. It’s my first time not only knitting, but also designing, a sweater. It was quite daunting at first, attempting to figure out all the intricacies of sweater making, doing all the calculations, worrying about construction, fit, and whether or not the idea in my mind would translate. But I feel like I’ve finally gotten to a stage in this project where I can just focus on the meditative repetition of the stitches and relax.
Which is so nice because amidst all the stress, chaos and deadlines of daily life, it’s great to be able to find some time to de-stress and practice self care with a nice cuppa tea, some mindless knitting, and a little playing softly in the background ☺️💕.
How do you like to unwind?
