I recently watched a short video of Amachree Ikijana discussing the secrets behind songs that "blow," and I couldn't agree more with his insights.

Just like good products don’t automatically become great products, good music doesn’t instantly turn into hit music. It’s the power of strategic promotion that turns a good song into a hit. Whenever you see a song topping the charts, know that there’s been a lot of strategic effort and planning behind the scenes.

We’ve all seen songs with mediocre lyrics become national anthems, while lyrically rich ones barely make it out of the bathroom.

As much as talent and quality matter, it’s not pride to make noise about your music or product. If you don't, someone with lesser quality will, and their brand will outshine yours.

Should you focus on creating good music and products? Absolutely. But more importantly, ensure you have a solid promotional campaign. It doesn’t have to be massive, but it should be strategic and measurable.

When calls, we have no choice but to answer with these masterpiece designs that easily depict and represent the expression and energy she brings into every piece of music.

Which of the slides is your favorite?

If there's a project that has truly challenged me recently, it's Ignite: The Thanksgiving Experience by Minstrel Temitope. We encountered a major technical issue during the initial recording, forcing us to re-record at a significant cost and energy drain.

Despite these obstacles, we pushed through, working tirelessly for days. Now, I'm thrilled to share that the project is finally out on YouTube, and it's something you will definitely enjoy listening to.

One invaluable lesson learned from this experience is to never compromise your standards or values, even in the face of challenges. Difficulties may tempt you to lower your standards, but resist the urge. I almost did, and it would have been disastrous.

Years ago, pursuing a music career was often seen as a frivolous or unserious endeavor. While perceptions have shifted somewhat over time, there are still those who hold similar views.

Creating music, whether as a recording artist or a performer, involves much more than most of us think. The process of producing a single song is intricate and demanding, from writing, arranging, producing, mixing, and promoting. Each step requires significant effort and financial investment, far more than many people realize.

As someone who works closely with various artists, I witness their frustrations and disappointments firsthand. Like any other business, when results fall short of expectations, it can be deeply disheartening.

One of the best ways to support the truly EXCELLENT talents around us (and I emphasize EXCELLENT) is by listening to their music, sharing it, and offering words of encouragement.

Though music can be frustrating, knowing they have your support can make a world of difference for these artists.
