Honestly, nothing beats the joy of eating fresh food you grow on your own! 🪴 You will be happy within 💃💃💃
Yesterday, I harvested sweet corn and fresh vegetables from my farm, and it brought smiles to everyone around me. The corn was so delicious as I found myself eating more even though I was already full! 😄
This is just a small reminder of the benefits of going green; not just for only our health, but to save our planet too. Instead of relying on imported, expensive food, why not start small with what you have? Even old containers 🫙 can become your first step into home farming.
Watch out for more inspiring testimonials coming soon from the amazing women of The Beellahy Foundation Women in Agricultural Initiative (BFWAI). 🌿
Stay tuned! 🌾💚

Today, we celebrate our children.
They are the hope we build for, the light we nurture, and the voices that will shape a better tomorrow.
To all the children out there, and to the amazing adults working to protect, educate, and empower them—we see you, we value you, and we celebrate you.
💛 Happy Children’s Day from all of us at Beellahy Foundation!

Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting with Pardon Masuka a brilliant data scientist from Statistics Without Borders.
It was more than just a meeting—it was a step forward in shaping how data can drive impact in communities. I’m deeply honored to have Statistics Without Borders working with us at Beellahy Foundation on our ongoing project with women in agriculture (BFWAI).
This partnership means a lot. With their support, we’ll be able to better understand our outcomes, measure impact more effectively, and scale our efforts to empower more women with sustainable farming skills and economic opportunities.
I’m so excited 😆 for what lies ahead!

It warms my heart and fills me with joy to receive messages like this from the incredible women at BFWAI. This initiative has transformed mindsets, shifting many from dependence to self-sufficiency.
Nothing compares to the moment when a woman stops me on the road with a heartfelt hug, saying, “Last night’s meal was made from the okra I harvested from my backyard farm.”
This is the power of sustainable agriculture. - empowering women, strengthening families, and securing food for our communities. I’m grateful for the impact so far and excited for what’s ahead!
Below is a picture of another beneficiary’s backyard farm, growing vegetables and okra from seeds distributed at the launch of BFWAI in August 2024. This proofs that this initiative is truly making a difference.
Let’s keep growing together. 🌱💚

Our International Women’s Day was a remarkable one in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, with the esteemed presence of Mr. Sellable himself – the Executive Governor of Lagos State. It was truly an incredible moment!
