I learned being too nice makes people think you're a fool.
They stop valuing your good deeds because they think you don't know what you're doing.
But the moment you show your boundaries, the moment you stop pleasing everyone — they call you bad. Evil.

God helps the hand wey dey work, not just the mouth wey dey pray

To succeed in life, you have to know them especially where we come from, you will have three kinds of people around you:
• The monitors. They don't help, they don't hate openly, they just watch. They want to know if you're still stuck, what you're doing, who you're with. Your update is their gist.
• The waiters. They are not with you in the struggle, they are waiting at the finish line. If you succeed, they will clap the loudest, coming up with their useless advices and say "we suffered together."
• The few. Very few, maybe 1 or 2 who actually check on you when there's nothing to gain. They don't always have money or solutions, but they have presence. They defend your name when you're not there. Most of the time, we don't recognise them because they don't used to be loud.

When you sit alone, the noise stops and you finally see the pattern you were too busy to see before.

You will understand why your pain is not loud to other people. Reason why people don't feel your own headache, your own heartbreak and your own financial pressure.

It's not always wickedness. Most people are just distracted by their own pain too. Your pain is centerstage for you, but it's background music for everyone else.

I just want you to know that you need to focus on your struggles no matter how much you feel the pain.
