Our team is made up of a Medical unit, IT unit and a Marketing unit. The medical unit is made up of seasoned doctors, general practitioners, gynecologists, and consultant physicians, the IT unit is made up of UK-trained app developers, programmers and website designers, while the marketing unit is made up of proficient sales representatives. We are aware that there are certain conditions that warrant patients being in physical contact with doctors. Medical emergencies, Road traffic accidents and other surgical emergencies, Antenatal care and deliveries all fall within this category. Our strength
We have a crew of well-trained medical practitioners who are skilled in history taking and using the same to reach infallible diagnosis and consequentially offer medical counsel which may come in form of prescriptions, recommendations or referrals without seeing our clients physically. In such cases, patients present with symptoms like headache, body pains, cough, catarrh, vomiting, watery stool, abdominal pains, boils, skin infections, pelvic infections, urinary tract infection, weak er****on, arthritic pains which can all be handled on the phone. However, In cases where the need to see a doctor physically is indicated, we are not completely handicapped. We can offer first aid advice, then make recommendations to the relevant hospital nearest to our clients. About 80% of patients who need a doctor do not really need to be in physical contact with one. That is 120 million out of 150 million Nigerians. We can safely assume that 50% of these population are telephone compliant, giving us a prospective clientele of 60 million people in Nigeria. Our Legality
One of the statutory function of MDCN as contained in section 1, subsection 2 c of the Medical and Dental Practitioners Act (CAP 221), Laws and Federal Republic of Nigeria 1990 (Decree no. 23 of 1988) is: “Reviewing and preparing from time to time a statement as to the code of conduct which the council considers desirable for the practice of professionals in Nigeria”. Our legal advisers have carefully examined the Nigerian Medical Code of Ethics. There Telemedicine is clearly spelt out as acceptable under the Order of Rules, Part A, Guideline 22. Charging a fee for consultation places a responsibility on us for the outcome. Physical examination is expedient in certain conditions regardless of how innocuous the history sounds. The limits of the services we can render, terms and conditions are clearly spelt out with an accompanying disclaimer.
