If you'd ask me what is the best short i did, its this one, but i might be biased because of the sentimental value. On the other hand, we usually don't take such risks... That one risky decission created ME, all the cringe videos that are unlisted today, all things related to social media and content creation, earning more money than ever before. Deep water in levels i can't comprehend to this day. Let me leave you with this: We can have AI, nice work, all the money but without people around us we can't be happy, we can't learn and we simply can't do sh*t. I'll be forever greatful for every single soul i met on my journey that helped me grow tremendously without even knowing about it. Im not crying, you're crying. Bye.

One "simple" excercise to show you near impossible task.
Solid objects dont flex, dont squash, dont bend.
Have you ever seen 2D Lilo & Stitch? Plane was 3D.
Alladin? Flying carpet was 3D. Examples are countless.
Have i mentioned i wrote a thesis about combining 2D with 3D in animation?
Its been like that forever and it will be.
Rule of thumb is - if its one time use - whatever - draw it.
If you'll show it over and over from different angles - YOU NEED A 3D MODEL OF IT, PERIOD.

Ribbons dont act like flags, they are thinner, lighter and much longer so they behave more chaotic and abrupt.
BUT underneath we always have the wave principle we cant forget about.
To master it, reserve 5-10 minute MAX per ribbon and just make as many as you have time alocated. Youll learn by making mistakes and understanding why it happened, not by trying to fix one thing for an hour that should take 5 minutes. If its not working - again - and repeat. Might take a while but once it will click it will be such a satisfying feeling! Wish you luck!

Onion skin is a guide, not a ruler!
I picked some extreme examples so you should get the idea.
It's a mix of arcs and eases you cant forget about.
That will make your animation stagger instead of smooth.
Dont think about one frame while you're drawing it - think about the whole piece and how it flows. That super important!

I feel like everything is upside down.
Animating with left hand, using keyboard with right, tablet needs another calibration. omg T_T
it took me only 20 minutes but my left hand is sore for real.

Forcefields are fun creations.
If they stand still and nothing is moving - they are simply boring, when the motion is abrupt it catches too much attention.
Motion have to be slow, very smooth and just flow nicely.

Add more thing in a way the main thing says MAIN THING.
A fine balance need to be in place as the viewer have only one pair of eyes.
