The money you give is not a seed but bread. God gives both seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Seed is sown, bread is eaten. What you give is a gift and not a seed. Let no one twist word for you. It is good to give and give to men of God because they do the work of God.

If a farmer would like to eat corn, then he will plant it in a good soil and not feed it to chickens. If you want to 'sow' your money, then you put it into a profitable venture and not give it to a 'man of God' as a seed. That is akin to feeding chickens with corn...
It is the lack of use of your mind that makes a 'man of god' take advantage of you by asking you to sow your money by giving it to him acting on behalf of God. Money, like a seed of corn, should be 'sown' in a profitable venture.
When God promised to give you the power to get wealth, this promise is contained in two things. One, He will keep you alive and two, He will give you the presence of mind to apply yourself to a profitable enterprise. If you don't use it, you will be poor and you should be poor.

Something like if you want to eat corn, you sow corn by planting it, you don't feed chickens with it. So also money, you invest it, you don't 'sow' it by giving it out.
