These are the three evidences of wisdom.

In the movie “Acrimony” by Tyler perry. When Robert Gayle was booked for an appointment to see Mr. Prescott; a meeting he has chased from the days of his youth, because he believed that the progress of his invention, career and destiny hinges on that single meeting.

in the course of preparing to go for the meeting after he abruptly abandoned his unsatisfactory day job given to him by his inlaws at a great loss on their side, his wife Melinda came home with a flare of anger and animosity towards him because of the purse belonging to Diana; a fling from Robert's days in school in which Melinda caught them in the heat of their romance.

Even though things were settled later and they got married, the purse her sisters found in the truck stood as evidence that Robert was still messing around with Diana and she needed answers which would later stand before Robert as an option to choose his marriage by staying home to explain how the purse got to his truck or loose his marriage if he moves out to meet with Mr. Prescott.

These two options were very strong because
1. Melinda has made a lot of sacrifices for Robert over the course of their marriage especially as it concerns his battery invention.

2. His meeting with Prescott was one in a lifetime chance which he has chased all his adult life way back from school and the success of his life, invention and career hinges on that single meeting. If he stays home to clear himself before his lovely wife, he would loose his chance at meeting Mr.Prescott. If he moves on to go meet Mr Prescott, he would definitely loose his marriage.

If you were in Roberts position, what will you do.

My take: in the context of this write up, my bias and the clip attached to this post, Robert did the right thing by choosing to meet with Mr. Prescott. That meeting was a bet against his marriage, but he believed it was a safer risk to go and meet Prescott which was a lifetime and one time meeting to hit his breakthrough in life and then come back home to explain the mystery purse, after all his wife would always be there, but same cant be said about Mr.Prescott.

If Robert had stayed home to please his wife with explanations, he would have missed that opportunity to meet with Mr Prescott which even though didn't yield immediate results brought about the link and connection that later changed everything for him.

It was painful he lost his marriage to Melinda (his lovely wife) but it was also better and suiting that he became very successful which was a commensurate measure and compensation for his marriage which he lost.

If he had chosen his marriage, they may eventually settle and he would have to continue facing constant degradation from his inlaws, but yes!! he chose his destiny, his career and most importantly; an everlasting source of income and every other thing including his estranged wife and disrespectful inlaws all came in terms to respect and chase after him.

Dear Men, Listen to me; do not trade your source of income for anything because even God would not be happy with you. Money would protect your respect, integrity and character. Loose it and see how much even your wife would trample on you. You are not wiser than God who first gave Man work(source of sustenance and income) before giving him a wife.

Any teaching that urges you to loose your source of income because of any woman is a satanic manipulation and if you yield to it, even God would reject you.

You stand as a better Man before God if at extremes you choose your source of income and sustenance first at all times except if it is a case of life and death. You can always find a better woman if the one you have goes, but if you loose your source of income, many Men never returned from that humiliating journey.
