Happy Africa Day! 🌍
As the continent celebrates “63 Years of Unity, Integration, and Development,” we remain deeply committed to strengthening the inclusive financial foundation our future requires.
True integration and sustainable development begin with financial inclusion. By advancing impact-driven digital financial services and supporting inclusive financial ecosystems, we are helping empower Nigerian communities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s collective growth and prosperity.
Let’s celebrate together.

Last month, EFInA in partnership with GIZ delivered a training programme to strengthen the capacity of key actors within Nigeria’s inclusive finance ecosystem.
The sessions brought together civil society organisations, microfinance banks, and financial service providers from across the country, equipping them with practical tools to better serve smallholder farmers, women-owned businesses, and rural communities.
This work reflects a shared commitment to building stronger systems that support financial inclusion where it matters most.

What does it really mean to move from financial access to financial resilience? Interrogating data helps us understand not just who has access to financial services but also how people are truly experiencing financial life. And financial inclusion conversations become more meaningful when they are grounded in data, lived realities, and long-term impact.
Swipe through some of the key insights shared by Dr. Oluwatomi Eromosele during the I4All Dialogues conversation on financial health and resilience.

Expanding access to financial services has been a major focus in Nigeria. But as the conversation evolves, the emphasis is shifting toward something deeper: financial health and resilience, and how well the system supports people in real life.
Join us with Dr. Oluwatomi Eromosele as a Speaker for the I4All Dialogues, a virtual conversation themed Rethinking Inclusion: Financial Health and Resilience as Development Priorities.
Dr. Oluwatomi Eromosele is the Research Lead at EFInA and leads the Access to Financial Services in Nigeria Survey, the country’s most authoritative financial inclusion dataset. A development economist with a Doctorate from the University of Leeds, her work informs policy reform, product design, and donor programming across financial health, women’s economic empowerment, and agricultural finance.
Her perspective will help shape the conversation on what it means to move beyond access and build systems that support stability, resilience, and long-term financial wellbeing.

Kalu Aja has spent over two decades inside the Nigerian financial system, at the desk where assets are managed, in the room where pension funds are built, and on the page where financial education meets ordinary people trying to make sense of money.
A Certified Financial Education Instructor with experience across capital markets, treasury, investment, and pensions, he helped establish FCMB Pensions PFA from the ground up and grew it to over ₦250 billion in assets under management. He writes regularly for BusinessDay and Nairametrics.
He has seen what the system can do when it works. He has also seen, in granular detail, where it stops working for the people who need it most.
On 7th May, he joins the I4All Dialogues to bring that perspective to the question of what financial health and resilience must demand from institutions, from products, and from policy.
