You see this beautiful lady right here, she's the HOD of SGMi Ibadan media department. One of the most amazing and hardworking women I've met, especially in ministry.

Help me beg her not kill me with church work πŸ˜‚πŸ˜€

A fleeting trip to the 80s

After treating injury for a week, I dragged myself by fire by thunder to attend the 3rd edition of MEN ON THE MOVE Conference ( Men on the Move Conference ) and I'm glad I did.

One of the things I learnt is that influence without IMPACT is just noise. And when you look at it, there is what we have been making in this country, noise, which begs the question: what are we going to do to change the situation of the country rather than making noise online .

I'm definitely attending next year's edition

I was watching Kiekie at an event earlier this year. It was a short video and she was talking about during her childhood when her mother recognized her gift of being an entertainer generally and she did not hold her back from exploring that angle and she in turn is passing that to her daughter as well.

And I thought about something. The greatest gift you can give your child as a parent or guardian is to recognize their gifts at a young age and help them navigate it even if you don't have a clue on whatever it is.

While most of us were growing up, we were forced to hide our gifts because the adults didn't see it as relevant enough or religiously, it was considered wrong. And we had to spend years doing stuffs we had no business doing instead of living in our gifts.

Kiekie's mother indirectly created a generational wealth just by recognizing her daughter's gifts and not hindering her.

The biggest question I've been faced with this year is "HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?"

And it really changed my perspective on my sense of self. Not just in the present but the future and past as well. I come from a background that brought us up to see ourselves lesser than who God sees us to be and can be.

So my biggest advice to you is, sometimes, see yourself as the best thing after jollof rice.
