Project for Human Development (PHD)

pristine values which form the substructure for the building of our national ethos. PHD is governed by a Board of Trustees, a Governing Council, Directors and Program officers. It is funded by donations from Trustees, friends and well-wishers, but it is not donor-driven. PHD’s greatest impact in Nigeria has been felt in the area of HIV/AIDS advocacy and prevention education where it has successfully enthroned the risk-avoidance strategy of abstinence and fidelity as superior to the risk-reduction option of “safe” and “safer” s*x. PHD runs THE PHD SCHOOL CLUB of EXCELLENCE in many schools in Nigeria to help form the Nigerian youth, our leaders of tomorrow, into men and women of competence, conscience and compassion and thus empower them to make the clear, coherent and courageous choices that will lead to a new Nigeria where love, justice, equity, peace and unity reign.
