A Story About Nothing

This story is about nothing — nothing at all. That’s what you brought into the world with you when you were born. Just nothing … zero.

There was a man in Italy who added a great deal of money to his first zero, and he became a rich man with a lot of zeros after the number one. He had an expensive car and much more. He also had in his car one little New Testament which he had stuffed out of sight in his glove compartment, because he didn’t know what to do with it.

Think of that! The eternal Word of God, showing the way to everlasting joy with the answer to all the sins and sorrows of life and death … and he didn’t know what to do with it! He knew how to handle money and how to make more. He knew how to get a beautiful house and how to meet im­portant people, but he didn’t know God’s simple way of salvation. How poor can a rich man be?

Then came the car accident. The ambulance was called, and there was nothing he could do but wait. His injuries were not severe, but he knew very well that he could have been killed. His hand reached for the ownership papers of his car, and his fingers came up with that little New Testament. For the first time, he opened it and read that verse about “nothing.” It was 1 Timothy 6:7. “We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.”

“I felt as if I had been struck by lightning!” he said later. He realized that if he had been killed, all his possessions would be reduced to the original zero. Nothing would be left for eternity. Not a single penny of all his riches would still be his the moment after his death.

But after death there is something that would still be his. His sins! These you cannot get rid of after death. They must be gotten rid of before death or they are yours forever, through the endless ages of eternity. Will you please, at this mo­ment, picture this awful truth — stand­ing before God in your sins!

However, the awful debt of my sins has been paid by the One who loves me and died for me on Calvary. His pre­cious blood cleanses from all sin now, and this cleansing is forever. After I’m gone, everything I own will also be left behind for someone else. But, Jesus is mine forever. I cannot lose Him because He cannot lose me. When God looks at me, He sees Jesus, now and forever.

What About You?

The rich man in the car accident be­gan to read the Bible earnestly, and he soon accepted the Lord Jesus as his Sav­iour and was then baptized. Will you also receive this loving Saviour as your own? “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salva­tion” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

God’s kingdom is like a fishnet cast into the sea, catching all kinds of fish. When it is full, it is hauled onto the beach. The good fish are picked out and put in a tub; those unfit to eat are thrown away.

That’s how it will be when the curtain comes down on history. The angels will come and cull the bad fish and throw them in the garbage. There will be a lot of desperate complaining, but it won’t do any good.

GODLY RICHES

"It's not by might, it's not by power but by MY SPIRIT says the Lord"(Zech4:6)
There are millions of people seeking riches and success the wrong way.
Some seek riches by adding up educational qualifications. "If I can just get a bachelor, masters or PhD degree, I will be rich and live a fulfilled life."
Nei! That's NO in Norwegian language.
Some seek riches by getting involved in shady deals and businesses.
Again, I say Nei!
Some seek riches and life's success through diabolical means; selling their souls(precious souls that Christ died for) to the devil.
Oh, how they shortchange themselves.
For there is a way that leads to life. It is so NARROW and FEW are they that FIND and WALK in it.
Brethren, there is success and riches with God.
Don't be deceived. The devil always dangles the fake. God has got the authentic.
So, you ask.."How do I walk and live in Divine Riches?"
It's simple. DO THE WORD! DO THE WISDOM OF GOD!
I don't mean the words or wisdom that comes from men. Nei!
Not the words or wisdom that comes from your mind or the skills you think you've got. That's so limited.
The devil is definitely a NO NO!
There is life in God. Durable Riches! Righteous Riches! Godly Riches!
They are as real as you are but you must choose to walk in the path that leads to these riches.
Proverbs 8:18 says "Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness."
The God kind of riches go hand in hand with righteous living. Righteousness is far-reaching from the Christian who doesn't spend ample time with the Lord.
There are NO TWO WAYS about it!
STUDY THE BOOK OF INSTRUCTION(THE WORD OF GOD) CONTINUALLY.
MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT SO YOU WILL BE SURE TO OBEY EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN IT.
ONLY THEN WILL YOU PROSPER AND SUCCEED IN ALL YOU DO.(Josh. 1:8)NLT
This is the summary of the whole matter, friends.
The BLESSING IS IN THE DOING.
Until we leave the passiveness of our Christian life, we may never be able to enjoy the God kind of riches and success in life. This God kind of life is profitable in this world and in heavenly times.
God wants to change your way of life. He wants to breed the right VIRTUES in you.
Will you let him?

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways, says Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from the heavens, and does not return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring out and bud, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do. (Isaiah 55:8-11)

People that don’t have clear understanding of their divine destiny are like fish out of water. Their lives will be characterised by stress, discontent and perpetual restlessness.

Understanding God’s purpose for your life will simplify your life and give you heaven on earth.

"Then said I, Behold, I come; in the volume of the book it is written of me; I delight to do Your will, O my God; yes, Your law is within my heart." (Psalms 40:6-8 AMP)

Once, when not many people were alive to use the internet

There was a young man called Ham who tweeted so: @Japheth: man of God is a man of wine. Lol!

Japheth and Shem did not retweet.

The drinker was still a father.
The man of wine, was still a man of God.

Ham went about telling all that the man of God owed everyone an explanation.

He got one. Noah said "You have begun a legacy of sons that bring disgrace. Keep it up. Canaan is next!"*

Respect is earned, honour is given.

*the actual story is in the 9th chapter of the 1st book of the Bible, Genesis. It is a true story.

The Message that points to Christ on the Cross seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation, it makes perfect sense.

1 Corinthians 1:18 MSG

Some folks crave the ability to recognise God’s voice but they are not conversant with God’s Word. How can you communicate with someone if you don’t understand the person's vocabulary? The written Word (the Bible) is God’s vocabulary. Craving to hear God outside the knowledge of His Word will expose you to the voice of devils and seducing spirits.

When people tell you, "Try out the fortunetellers. Consult the spiritualists. Why not tap into the spirit-world, get in touch with the dead?" Tell them, "No, we're going to study the Scriptures." People who try the other ways get nowhere--a dead end!

SHUT THE DOOR

A man went inside a telephone booth and dialed the number of a friend. When the connection was made, the friend kept saying, "I can't hear you; speak louder; I can't hear you." All he could hear was the roar of traffic in the background. "Shut the door so I can hear," he said to the caller.

In order to hear God's voice speaking to you, you've got to shut the door to the outside world so that its enticements won't distract you. Doing this could change your whole life. Then when you go back into the crowd, you'll not only be able to listen to what the world has to say, but you'll have something to say to the world that you've personally heard from God.
