This , we are taking a moment to celebrate the vibrant, diverse continent we call home and the incredible people at Flutterwave, making cross-border payments better for it.
Every day, we enable seamless payments for African businesses and ensure that Africans worldwide can easily send money home to their loved ones and stay connected. We’re proud to be the infrastructure in Africa, for Africans, and bringing people and possibilities closer together.
Today and always, we honour the cultures, communities, and people shaping Africa and the world. Across the East, Central, North, South, and West of Africa, our continent is defined by unique cultures and flavours.
Whether it is the jollof rice of Lagos or the nyama choma of Nairobi, the waakye of Accra or the bunny chow of Johannesburg, from the pyramids of Cairo to the hills of Kigali, Africa is filled with beauty, energy, creativity, resilience, and community.

Today is a special day at Flutterwave as we celebrate the birthday of our Founder and CEO, , whose vision set this journey in motion.
Over the years, the world has watched Flutterwave grow into a force powering payments for businesses across Africa, building products that simplify how money moves, and connecting African businesses to a global stage.
But the truth is, these wins did not happen by chance. Every milestone was shaped by resilience, and the unwavering belief of a leader who knew, long before it was obvious, that Africa deserves world-class financial infrastructure.
Today, we celebrate the man behind the mission, the progress of the last decade, and the even greater milestones that lie ahead.
Happy Birthday, GB.
With love and gratitude from all of us at Flutterwave đź’›

Africa’s digital economy is moving fast, but for many global businesses, the “fragmented” payments landscape feels like a roadblock.
Future Pay saw the opportunity, but they needed a key to unlock it.
In the latest episode of Keeping Tabs, we sit down with Zoe Tao; VP strategic partnerships, to discuss how Future Pay is using Flutterwave’s infrastructure to:
- Accept local payments (cards, mobile money, transfers) across 30+ countries.
- Pay out rewards and commissions to creators instantly.
- Turn complex B2B cross-border hurdles into a single API integration.
Scaling in Africa shouldn’t feel like managing 54 different startups. With the right partner, it feels like one🌍
