In the quiet dawn of a nation’s heart,
A gentle light has dimmed.
Yet its warmth lingers - steady, calm,
A testament to a life well lived.

You walked the path of duty
Not for glory, nor for praise,
But because service was your nature,
And integrity your lifelong flame.

Grandson of Awo-,a political king and timeless legacy,
Yet you carved a name all your own -
With vision, with kindness,
With a loyalty that never wavered.

You lifted others by your example,
Shaped futures with your labour,
And carried Nigeria in your spirit
As one carries a cherished home.

Today, your journey continues
Beyond the veil of earthly days;
But your footsteps remain with us,
Guiding, steady, unforgotten.

Rest now, Prince Olusegun Awolowo -

AFTER THE SEVEN DAYS OF MOURNING -
A Note of Appreciation & Funeral Notification of my Beloved Mother, Princess Grace Adesola Aduke Alufa

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die".

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the revered Clergymen and Pastorate,His Royal Majesties, esteemed political leaders, respected community leaders, beloved family members, dear friends, and all well-wishers who identified with our family during the seven days of mourning following the passing into eternity of our dear mother,
Princess Grace Adesola Aduke Alufa, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the age of 75.

Your prayers, phone calls, messages, and comforting presence brought immense strength and solace during this deeply painful time. Your acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed, and I remain extremely grateful for the love and support shown to me and my family.

As we continue to honour her memory, please be informed that the funeral ceremony will take place in the coming months. Further details will be communicated in due course,and we hope to count on your continued support and presence as we lay our beloved mother to rest with the dignity and grace she deserves.

May God bless you all richly.
