I am particularly looking forward to this session with Olabanke Subair is a Creative Disruptor, Serial Entrepreneur, and Multi-potentialite passionate about positively disrupting spaces with her creativity. In 2016, she developed an idea to upcycle tires into artsy & ultra-modern furniture after stumbling upon a pile of 20 used tires which led her to set up an eco-friendly creative outfit, Cyrus45 Factory, which focuses on converting non-biodegradable waste into bespoke & ultra-modern furniture pieces through innovative & creative upcycling. It also umbrellas other creative expressions which offer interior and doodling services.
In 2018, Olabanke was privileged to be invited to the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to speak about her work with Cyrus45. She has also been featured on BBC World, Financial Times UK, Guardian & several other media outlets.
She is a One Young World Ambassador, won the 2020 JCI Top Outstanding Young Persons Awards in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Economy and A Future Awards Africa Nominee.
