Don’t Hope,… Decide!
While waiting to pick up a friend at the airport in Portland, Oregon, I had one of those life-changing experiences that you hear other people talk about — the kind that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. This one occurred a mere two feet away from me.
Straining to locate my friend among the passengers deplaning through the jet way, I noticed a man coming toward me carrying two light bags. He stopped right next to me to greet his family.
First he motioned to his youngest son (maybe six years old) as he laid down his bags. They gave each other a long, loving hug. As they separated enough to look in each other’s face, I heard the father say, “It’s so good to see you, son. I missed you so much!” His son smiled somewhat shyly, averted his eyes and replied softly, “Me, too, Dad!”
Then the man stood up, gazed in the eyes of his oldest son (maybe nine or ten) and while cupping his son’s face in his hands said, “You’re already quite the young man. I love you very much, Zach!” They too hugged a most loving, tender hug.
While this was happening, a baby girl (perhaps one or one-and-a-half) was squirming excitedly in her mother’s arms, never once taking her little eyes off the wonderful sight of her returning father. The man said, “Hi, baby girl!” as he gently took the child from her mother. He quickly kissed her face all over and then held her close to his chest while rocking her from side to side. The little girl instantly relaxed and simply laid her head on his shoulder, motionless in pure contentment.
After several moments, he handed his daughter to his oldest son and declared, “I’ve saved the best for last!” and proceeded to give his wife the longest, most passionate kiss I ever remember seeing. He gazed into her eyes for several seconds and then silently mouthed. “I love you so much!” They stared at each other’s eyes, beaming big smiles at one another, while holding both hands.
For an instant they reminded me of newlyweds, but I knew by the age of their kids that they couldn’t possibly be. I puzzled about it for a moment then realized how totally engrossed I was in the wonderful display of unconditional love not more than an arm’s length away from me. I suddenly felt uncomfortable, as if I was invading something sacred, but was amazed to hear my own voice nervously ask, “Wow! How long have you two been married?
“Been together fourteen years total, married twelve of those.” he replied, without breaking his gaze from his lovely wife’s face. “Well then, how long have you been away?” I asked. The man finally turned and looked at me, still beaming his joyous smile. “Two whole days!”
Two days? I was stunned. By the intensity of the greeting, I had assumed he’d been gone for at least several weeks – if not months. I know my expression betrayed me.
I said almost offhandedly, hoping to end my intrusion with some semblance of grace (and to get back to searching for my friend), “I hope my marriage is still that passionate after twelve years!”
The man suddenly stopped smiling.
He looked me straight in the eye, and with forcefulness that burned right into my soul, he told me something that left me a different person. He told me, “Don’t hope, friend… decide!” Then he flashed me his wonderful smile again, shook my hand and said, “God bless!”

Recent weddings, September-November
Borrowed.
This came from the heart of a single mum, I found this and decided to share it with you guys.
Kudos to Single Mothers!...There is this misconception and silly notion about single mothers! People look at them with contempt! The general notion is that a woman not married with kid(s) is wayward...Wat a belief! Yoυ see a man raising an eye brow if his wife introduces a friend as "Miss Lagbaja with kid(s)"...Married Women are not exceptions! They look down on single mothers. Well, yoυ wouldn't know until yoυ are in such freaky shoes! How many married women can walk in the shoes of single mothers without "fainting"?...E easy? How many can pay rents, pay children's school fees, run a home? Just a few...and these few are their husband's helpers. These few understand how it is.These few won't judge...To those who judge single mothers, its just by His grace and favour that yoυ have someone yoυ can call "HUSBAND" and I pray yoυ dnt end up being a single mother. Just close your eyes and imagine life without your spouse or visualize a man who promised yoυ marriage, dissappearing into thin air when you suddenly missed your period!!! Lwkmmd! There are some circumstances beyond human control. The mere fact yoυ are married doesn't mean yoυr husband can't leave yoυ for someone else...and I tell yoυ, its not a gud experience... And to all single mothers...May God continue to stand by yoυ. May He crown all your efforts. Always have it at the back of your minds,"The end justifies the means"...

6 BEAUTIFUL MESSAGES FOR U THIS WEEK…
1) stay away from anger…It hurts…Only You!
2) If you are right then there is no need to get angry, and if you are wrong then you don’t have any right to get angry.
3) Patience with family is love, Patience with others is respect. Patience with self is confidence and Patience with GOD is faith.
4) Never think hard about the PAST, It brings tears… Don’t think more about the FUTURE, It brings fears… Live this moment with a smile, It brings cheers...
5) Every test in our life makes us bitter or better, Every problem comes to make us or break us, The choice is ours whether we become victims or victorious...
6) Beautiful things are not always good but good things are always beautiful..
Dear fans, Watch out for this space! Recipes and wedding ideas coming to you soon.
Borrowed Post.
This is my advice for all Ladies. I'm
sorry If it will annoy you but it's
the Truth, you really have to take
correction now.
Dear ladies, firstly, if you are still struggling to find a husband at an old age because you are looking for a perfect man, something is wrong
with you. Sorry to say that, but it's
true. Your propaganda magazine tells you that 'All men are liars,
cheats and useless, but let’s be
honest here. Which is more likely?.
Is it that there’s something wrong
with about 70million African men, OR there is something wrong with one African Woman? Ladies, you
certainly will not get into a blissful
matrimony if you are always
hanging out with your so-called
girlfriends every night at a beer
palour or bar and waiting for a guy to buy you a drink and take you home. Drinking yourself to stupor every Friday and Saturday nights does not exactly make you look like a marriage material. You want a man?. Invest in a good wardrobe, and dress responsibly. When a man comes to you, smile and be polite, even if he does not fit your mental image of your kind of man. Ladies please and please, stop going into a relationship with a chip on your
shoulder. If you believe all men are bad and all men are Dogs, then, it will become a self fulfilling prophesy.
No man is perfect!. Even you!. You say you can't marry a blue collar guy, like a mechanic or carpenter. If a carpenter was good enough to marry MARY, THE MOTHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, why isn't one good enough for you?. Do not focus on where a man is now, but look and see where he has the potentials to be. What’s the point of being beaten to a pulp every night by some rich, good looking and non-caring man?. Do you want a future where you will sit in a traffic in your car with sunglasses covering your swollen eyes, you look out of the window and see a happy couple in a keke NAPEP holding hands and laughing like newly wedded couple, even after 12 years of marriage.
Please don’t fake pregnancy or get pregnant to trap him. Your perfect man is out there. Believe,
work and pray and you will get
him.
THINK ABOUT IT!
Happy easter to all our fans. May the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ raise every stagnation in our lives in Jesus name. Ve a splendid celebration.
