Where is your dream location spot?
Did you know that you can be financially independent and work from anywhere as a Virtual Assistant?
Before the pandemic hit, I spent a lot of time travelling with my family and was still earning an income to support my extravagances.
This is what I love about being a VA....the independence, the flexibility and the fact that you get to do what you absolutely love!
Have you ever thought of being financially independent and ditching the 9-5? Let me know in the comments..

A lot of aspiring VA’s are always overwhelmed by the thought of building their website before they start their business, because some are of the notion that having a website makes you look more professional. While this might be true on some levels, I’d like to let you know that you don’t need one to get your VA business off the ground at all.
There are other ways you can have an online presence without building a website. Although I recommend eventually having a website as you progress as a VA but don’t get hung up on building one and end up procrastinating on your VA dreams.
Here are some other ways to be visible online without a website:
1. Design a professional portfolio:
You can create a PDF in a Google Doc or using Canva. Include an ‘about me’ section, the services you offer, your rates, examples of your work, testimonials, and even a link to your ‘schedule an appointment’ with you on calendly.
2. Create a LinkedIn profile:
With Linkedin, you can list your services, your experience, get endorsements, and network all in one site! It is a great way to link up with your potential clients straightaway.
3. Optimise your Social Media Pages:
Create a Facebook business page and list all your services, include your contact, and post valuable content that will make your target audience notice you. Be sure to create a cover photo and invite people to like your page or sponsor ads. You can also do the same with your Instagram account.

1. Get serious about building a new business.
Never treat your business as a side hustle. Treat it as a full-time business! Your potential client will trust you with their business because you will come across as being serious.
2. Invest in yourself and your knowledge.
There are so many options out there when it comes to virtual assistant’s and different tools that you might use. There are also so many resources on the internet to help you launch your business.
3. Figure out your niche
When you are just starting start out as a VA, it is ok to try out different niches to help you figure out what you feel the most comfortable doing. But as time goes on, it is advisable to niche down so you can become an expert in a particular field.
4. Learn how to confidently pitch your services.
Pitching your services to clients can be a challenge sometimes. What helped me over time was to constantly practice my pitch to myself in a mirror or to my family members. I also came up with an elevator pitch that was easy enough for me to communicate. You also have to find the confidence to charge what you are worth.

Here are my top tips for enhancing productivity and managing your time wisely as a Virtual Assistant:
1. Make a list and prioritize.
2. Have a designated office, even if you work from home.
3. Use excellent resources.
4. Make self-care a priority.
5. Set working hours and stick to them, even if you work from home...haha!
6. Don't take on more than you can do, always know your limit or you will either break down or do a shoddy job for your client.
