If you look at the video, it seems pretty straightforward, but there are actually a few things happening behind the scenes that you may not immediately notice.😁

First, you’ll notice that all the lights in the room were turned off. This is important because I wanted to have complete control over the lighting and the mood of the shot.

Then, if you look closely, you’ll notice that one light is brighter, softer, and bigger than the others. 🤏🤏

The bigger, softer and brighter light is my key light, the main light illuminating me. I used the Panel Light (₦50,000).

Then I have my backlight, which is the coloured light behind me. It can be any coloured light you have available. I used the RGB LED 600 N56k, but you can absolutely use a small portable coloured light too.

The third light, positioned in front of me on the other side, is my fill light. This one doesn't need to be as bright. In fact, I reduced the brightness of my LED 800 because I didn't want it to overpower or wash out the coloured light behind me.

And there's one more little detail that helps create that moody vibe ! ... my outfit. 😌

I wore a dark-coloured outfit. It doesn't necessarily have to be black, but if you want this kind of look, stick to darker tones rather than bright colours.

So basically, it's not just about putting three lights around you and pressing record. 😂

The positioning, brightness, colour, your surroundings and even what you're wearing all play a part in creating the final look.

Can you hear the difference in sound? This mic even thou not trendy, will always be an Og of all time.
