ABUSE β Episode 9
Mrs. Rose was discharged from the hospital a few days later.
Back at home, something seemed different about her.
She was quieter.
She no longer criticized Zara's cooking. She no longer complained about the way Zara cleaned the house. Instead, she spent most of her time sitting alone, lost in thought.
One evening, Zara brought her a cup of tea.
"Thank you," Mrs. Rose said softly.
Zara smiled and turned to leave, but Mrs. Rose stopped her.
"Wait."
Zara looked back.
Mrs. Rose's eyes filled with tears.
"There is something I need to tell you."
Joseph, who had just entered the room, paused when he heard his mother's trembling voice.
"What is it, Mom?" he asked.
Mrs. Rose took a deep breath.
"For years, I blamed Zara for taking my son away from me."
She lowered her head in shame.
"But the truth is... my anger started long before Zara came into your life."
The room fell silent.
Mrs. Rose continued.
"When Joseph's father abandoned us, I raised him alone. I sacrificed everything for him. He became my whole world."
A tear rolled down her cheek.
"And when he got married, I became afraid. Afraid that I would be left alone. Afraid that I would no longer matter."
Joseph's eyes filled with tears.
"Mom..."
"I was wrong," Mrs. Rose whispered. "Instead of trusting your love, I allowed fear to turn into jealousy."
Zara stood speechless.
For the first time, she understood the pain hidden behind Mrs. Rose's harsh behavior.
Then something unexpected happened.
Mrs. Rose slowly stood up and walked toward Zara.
With tears streaming down her face, she took Zara's hands.
"I'm sorry for every insult, every accusation, and every tear I caused you."
Zara's eyes filled with emotion.
For a moment, neither woman spoke.
Then Zara gently hugged her.
Mrs. Rose broke down crying in her arms.
Joseph watched from across the room, overwhelmed with emotion.
For the first time since their marriage, it felt as though a heavy burden had finally been lifted.
But just as peace began to return, a loud knock echoed through the house.
Everyone froze.
Joseph walked to the door and opened it.
Standing there was a woman holding a young boy by the hand.
The woman looked directly at Mrs. Rose.
"We need to talk," she said.
Mrs. Rose's face suddenly turned pale.
Who was this woman?
And what secret from Mrs. Rose's past had just arrived at their doorstep?

ABUSE β Episode 8
Joseph and Zara rushed to the hospital, their hearts filled with fear.
The drive felt longer than ever.
When they finally arrived, Joseph ran to the reception desk.
"My mother, Mrs. Rose! Where is she?" he asked anxiously.
A nurse directed them to the emergency ward.
There, they found Mrs. Rose lying on a hospital bed. Her injuries were not life-threatening, but she was badly shaken.
The moment she saw Joseph, tears filled her eyes.
"My son..." she cried.
Joseph immediately held her hand.
"Mom, thank God you're okay."
Mrs. Rose looked past him and saw Zara standing nearby.
For a moment, the room fell silent.
Then something unexpected happened.
Mrs. Rose began to cry even harder.
"I thought nobody cared about me," she said. "I was angry when you chose your wife over me. I felt like I was losing my son."
Joseph looked down.
"Mom, no one can replace you. But Zara is my wife. Loving her doesn't mean I love you less."
Mrs. Rose remained silent.
Just then, Zara stepped forward.
She gently adjusted Mrs. Rose's blanket and handed her a glass of water.
"You need to rest," Zara said softly.
Mrs. Rose stared at her in surprise.
After all the hurtful words she had spoken, Zara was still showing her kindness.
A tear rolled down Mrs. Rose's cheek.
"Why are you being nice to me?" she whispered.
Zara smiled sadly.
"Because you're Joseph's mother. And because holding on to anger only creates more pain."
Mrs. Rose could not believe what she was hearing.
For the first time, she began to see Zara not as an enemy, but as a woman who genuinely cared about her family.
As the three sat together in silence, Mrs. Rose realized something important.
The real problem had never been Zara.
The problem was the bitterness she had allowed to grow in her heart.
But would she finally let go of that bitterness?
Or was there still another secret she had been hiding?

ABUSE β Episode 7
The following week, Joseph woke up feeling happier than he had in months.
He had spent the past few days trying to rebuild the trust he had broken with Zara, and for the first time, he could see a little hope in her eyes.
That afternoon, Zara entered the kitchen with a smile on her face. She carefully prepared Joseph's favorite meal, humming softly as she cooked.
What Joseph didn't know was that Zara had a special surprise planned for him.
She had reserved a table at a beautiful restaurant for that evening. She wanted them to spend time together, away from the tension and pain that had filled their home.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Rose, Joseph's mother, had plans of her own.
Earlier that day, she approached her son.
"Joseph, I want us to go out this evening," she said. "Just the two of us, like old times."
Joseph smiled respectfully.
"Of course, Mom. But Zara has already planned something for us tonight. Maybe we can all go another day."
Mrs. Rose's face immediately changed.
"What do you mean Zara planned something?" she asked sharply.
Joseph nodded.
"Yes, Mom. My wife comes first. We need this time together."
The words hit Mrs. Rose like a slap.
For years, she had been used to being the most important woman in her son's life.
Now, for the first time, Joseph had chosen his wife over her.
That evening, as Joseph and Zara prepared to leave for dinner, they noticed something strange.
Mrs. Rose's bedroom door was open.
The room was empty.
Her bags were gone.
On the bed lay a handwritten note.
Joseph picked it up and began to read.
"If my presence no longer matters in this house, then I will leave. Enjoy your new life with your wife."
Joseph sighed heavily.
Zara looked at him with concern.
"Joseph, your mother is upset."
Before he could respond, his phone suddenly rang.
It was an unknown number.
When he answered, his face turned pale.
"What?" he whispered.
Zara's heart raced.
"What happened?"
Joseph slowly lowered the phone.
"It's my mother..."
He paused.
"Mrs. Rose has been involved in an accident."

ABUSE β Episode 6
A week after Zara returned home from the hospital, Joseph was determined to become a better husband.
He helped with household chores, checked on Zara regularly, and tried his best to make up for the pain he had caused her.
For the first time in a long while, peace slowly began to return to their home.
Then one afternoon, there was a knock on the door.
Joseph opened it and froze.
"Mom!"
Standing at the entrance was his mother, Mrs. Rose.
She had come for an unexpected visit.
As she stepped inside, her eyes quickly scanned the house. She noticed the tension between Zara and Joseph, even though they tried to hide it.
Over the next few days, Mrs. Rose observed everything carefully.
Deep down, she had never approved of Zara. From the very beginning, she believed her son could have married someone "better."
One evening, while Zara was preparing dinner, Mrs. Rose pulled Joseph aside.
"My son," she said softly, "ever since you married this woman, you have changed."
Joseph frowned.
"What do you mean, Mom?"
Mrs. Rose sighed dramatically.
"You used to be strong. Now you spend all your time pleasing her. Are you sure she isn't controlling you?"
Joseph immediately disagreed.
But his mother's words planted a seed of doubt in his mind.
Meanwhile, Zara could feel the coldness from her mother-in-law growing stronger every day.
No matter what she did, it was never enough.
If Zara cooked, Mrs. Rose complained.
If Zara cleaned, Mrs. Rose found faults.
If Zara remained quiet, Mrs. Rose called her proud.
The peace that had just begun to return was slowly disappearing.
One night, Zara overheard Mrs. Rose speaking on the phone.
"I warned my son about that woman from the beginning," she said. "And I will make sure he finally sees her true colors."
Zara's heart sank.
What exactly was Mrs. Rose planning?
And would Joseph stand by his wifeβor allow his mother to destroy their marriage once again?

ABUSE β Episode 5
The next morning, Joseph arrived at the hospital carrying a bouquet of flowers. He had barely slept all night. Guilt weighed heavily on his heart.
As he entered Zara's room, he found her sitting up quietly, staring out the window.
"Good morning, Zara," he said softly.
She turned and looked at him but said nothing.
Joseph placed the flowers on the table and sat beside her bed.
"I know saying sorry isn't enough," he began. "I've hurt you many times, and I ignored your pain when you needed me the most."
Tears gathered in Zara's eyes.
"Joseph, do you know what hurt me the most?" she asked.
He slowly shook his head.
"It wasn't your shouting. It wasn't your anger. It was the fact that I felt invisible. I felt like my feelings didn't matter."
Joseph lowered his head in shame.
For a moment, the room was silent.
Then Zara continued, "I loved you with all my heart, but every day I felt like I was losing myself."
Joseph's eyes filled with tears.
"I don't want to lose you, Zara," he whispered.
The door opened, and the doctor walked in.
"Mrs. Zara is recovering well," he said. "But she needs peace, care, and emotional support. Healing doesn't happen overnight."
Those words struck Joseph deeply.
As he looked at Zara, he realized that if he truly wanted her forgiveness, he would have to prove that he had changedβnot with words, but with actions.
Would Joseph finally become the husband Zara deserved?

ABUSE β Episode 4
Joseph rushed into the hospital, his heart pounding with fear.
"Where is Zara?" he asked the nurse anxiously.
The nurse pointed him toward a room down the hallway.
When Joseph entered, he saw Zara lying quietly on the hospital bed. She looked weak and exhausted. For a moment, he stood there in silence, staring at the woman he had hurt with his words for so long.
The doctor soon arrived.
"Are you her husband?" he asked.
"Yes," Joseph replied.
The doctor sighed.
"Your wife has been seriously ill for days. Stress, exhaustion, and lack of proper care have made her condition worse. She needs support, rest, and a peaceful environment to recover."
Joseph lowered his head in shame.
The doctor's words echoed in his mind. He remembered every harsh word, every shout, and every time he ignored her pain.
Slowly, he walked to Zara's bedside.
Tears filled his eyes as he held her hand.
"I'm sorry, Zara," he whispered. "I should have listened to you. I should have been there for you."
A tear rolled down Zara's cheek. She heard his voice, but the pain in her heart was deeper than the sickness in her body.
For the first time, Joseph realized that saying sorry would not erase the scars he had created.
Would Zara ever be able to forgive him?

ABUSE β Episode 3
The next morning, Zara's condition became worse.
She struggled to get out of bed, feeling dizzy and weak. Joseph got ready for work without saying a word to her. He was still angry from the night before.
As he reached the door, Zara softly called his name.
"Joseph..."
He stopped but didn't turn around.
"I don't think I'm okay. Can you please take me to the hospital after work?"
Joseph sighed.
"You'll be fine. Just rest."
With those words, he walked out, leaving Zara alone.
Hours later, Zara collapsed while trying to get herself a glass of water. A concerned neighbor heard a loud noise and rushed into the house.
When she found Zara unconscious on the floor, she immediately called for help.
That evening, Joseph returned home expecting another quiet house. Instead, he found the neighbor waiting outside.
"Joseph, where have you been?" she asked.
His heart began to race.
"What happened?"
The neighbor looked at him sadly.
"Zara is in the hospital."
For the first time, fear replaced his anger.
Without another word, Joseph rushed toward the hospital, praying that he wasn't too late.

ABUSE β Episode 2
As the evening sun faded, Joseph returned home from work looking tired and frustrated. The house was unusually quiet.
"Zara!" he shouted as he entered. "Why is this house a mess? And where is my food?"
There was no answer.
Angrily, he walked into the bedroom and found Zara lying on the bed. Her face looked pale, and she was too weak to stand.
Instead of asking what was wrong, Joseph began yelling.
"All you do is lie around! Can't you do one simple thing? I work all day and come home to this?"
Tears filled Zara's eyes.
"I've been sick since morning," she whispered. "I tried to cook, but I couldn't even stand."
But Joseph was too angry to listen. He continued shouting while she silently cried.
For the first time, Zara felt completely alone in the home she once called her safe place.
As Joseph walked away, he didn't notice the pain in her eyesβor the silent prayer she whispered through her tears.
"God, how much longer can I endure this?"
Little did Joseph know that this night would mark the beginning of a journey that would change both of their lives forever.
