8 Fitness Tests Every Man Should Be Able to Pass (Especially After 40)

Your goal isn't to be an elite athlete.

It's to build a body that's strong, capable, and still moving well decades from now.

How many of these can you pass?

1. Run a 10K in under 60 minutes. Endurance matters.

2. Do 50 strict push-ups. Upper-body strength you can actually use.

3. Do 10–20 strict pull-ups. One of the best tests of relative strength.

4. Hold a wall sit for 60 seconds. Your legs should have staying power.

5. Hold a plank for 60 seconds. Core strength protects your back.

6. Do 100 bodyweight squats. Strong legs make everyday life easier.

7. Touch your toes and hold for 10 seconds. Mobility matters more than most people realize.

8. Walk 10,000 steps—and still have energy left afterward. Fitness isn't just finishing. It's finishing well.

Remember, this isn't about perfection.

It's about having a body that can keep up with your life.

How many did you pass? Comment your score out of 8. Save this and come back in 3 months to test yourself again. šŸ’Ŗ

Your Morning Coffee Is Playing a Game With Your Brain ā˜•

Most people think caffeine creates energy. It doesn't.

It changes what your brain notices.

From the moment you wake up, your brain starts building a chemical called adenosine.Think of adenosine like a pressure gauge. The more it builds up, the louder your body starts saying,
"It's time to rest."

Now here's what caffeine actually does.

Caffeine looks similar enough to adenosine that it temporarily blocks many of its receptors in your brain.Instead of creating new energy...It simply turns down the volume on your tiredness.Your body is still getting tired. You're just noticing it less for a while.

Now here's why so many people crash later.

Think of caffeine like hitting a pause button on tiredness.
As it wears off, those sleep signals become noticeable again—which is why that afternoon crash can hit so suddenly. So do you need to quit coffee?

Not necessarily.

For many healthy adults, 1–3 cups a day is associated with:
• Better alertness
• Sharper focus
• Faster reaction time
• Potential long-term brain health benefits.

The bigger problem isn't coffee. It's drinking too much or drinking it too late. That can interfere with deep sleep, making tomorrow's first cup feel even more necessary.
Try this tomorrow:

ā˜• Keep coffee moderate.
ā° Stop caffeine around 2 PM (or about 8–10 hours before bed if you're sensitive).
šŸ’§ Drink water alongside it.
😓 Protect your sleep—because that's where real energy comes from.

Save this before your next cup of coffee, and share it with someone who says they can't function without caffeine.
