Thinking Of Empowering Math Success?
Look out for these SIGNS .👇👇👇
The low outcome of math success for some could be as a result of a whole lots of other factors that have culminated into Math anxiety.
Identifying it is key to help students overcome this scare.
Here are a few ways to identify Math Anxiety in students and how to help your students overcome them
🩷Behavioral Signs: Avoidance of math tasks, frequent excuses, and nervousness during math activities.
👉Incorporate fun and engaging ways to learn complex concepts. Try out new methods to teach or spice up learning using relevant tech tools and projects.
🩷Physical Symptoms: Sweating, headaches, and rapid heartbeat before or during math sessions.
👉Always use what students know to teach them what they ought to know . Leverage on prior Knowledge. It's always a soft and safe starting point for students and teachers to kick off learning.
🩷Emotional Indicators: Expressing feelings of hopelessness or fear related to math.
👉Create a more Conducive Learning Environment that allows them see mistakes as integral part of learning and not the end of the road and do well to celebrate procedures and not just final results. Every step matters.
You really can't do much to help students who suffer from math anxiety if you cannot identify it.
Ever help students overcome math anxiety? How did you do it?

There are days and there are certain days.
👉Some days the energy and vibe to teach math to students is super high like sky rocket high🚀 🚀 🚀
👉Some days I desperately seek for that same energy😔😔😔
The same way it works out for your students and if don't agree then you just haven't been quite observant enough.
Whether you feel high or low as a teacher one way to find balance to keep moving on is CONNECTION.
I know some persons would say "Take a break and rest" Trust me one of the worst energy drainer is the lose of Connection.
As Teachers , teach to connect and connect to teach. It really can be frustrating to teach students who don't feel connected. Sometimes the strength you need wouldn't always necessarily come from Within but from people around including your students , colleagues, friend , family. 0
Teaching a Subject as Math, seek to connect concepts within and across curriculum. Don't loose track of the flow of connection by isolating concepts .it would help your students see and appreciate its relevance and eventually learn to love Math and the math teacher too😎😎😎(I love this part)
How do you Bounce back to balance when you're not feeling the energy to work on certain days ?

Math Can Be Fun 🤩 🤩 🤩
Bearing in mind that the Ultimate goal is success, Teachers can approach math teaching in diverse ways uniquely owning their style. My Days in the physical classroom are experiences I wouldn't trade for anything. The success rate was 💯.
Some days I present my Math classes as a Business venture where I am the CEO and my students as my business partners or clients who are eager to return to do profitable math business with me everyday.
Some days I present my Math classes as an entertainment show dropping and connecting every concept as a hit back to back with my students anticipating for more
Some other days I present my Math classes as a healing space where I am the doctor and some of my students as my colleague who help out through peer tutoring while some as the patients who I need to make sure don't die academically
It is important that teachers create an atmosphere that is safe enough to promote
👉 positive Mindset
👉 Curiosity
👉 Realistic applications
👉 flexibility
👉 Conceptual Understanding
👉FUN
Don't be regular
Regular is boring
What's the first math topic you're teaching at resumption and what grade?
