LENTEN MEDITATION DAY 2.
Welcome to the presence of God
In our meditation today, we will consider "Holy Mourning and True Repentance - Matt 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted"

Holy mourning happens when you sincerely recognize your sins, weaknesses, and distance from God, and your heart becomes truly sorry for them. It is not just about outward sadness or religious routine, but about allowing your heart to be softened and transformed by God’s mercy. When you humble yourself before God, you open the door for His grace to renew your spirit and draw you closer to Himself.

True repentance goes beyond words; it is a sincere turning away from sin and a return to God with a willing and obedient heart. Are you sorry, truly remorseful for your past sins? Are you sincerely willing to turn to God in Repentance? God is ready and waiting to forgive and comfort you.

PRAYER
May God's comfort flood your heart and mind and restore you to wholeness in Jesus name. Amen

BELOVED,
Welcome to Ash Wednesday 2026 - Lent Day one

Reflection: BLESSEDNESS OF SPIRITUAL

POVERTY - Matt. 5:3, “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
The blessedness of spiritual poverty reminds us that true closeness to God begins when we humbly recognise our need for Him. In the Beatitudes found in the Gospel above, Jesus teaches that those who are poor in spirit are blessed because they rely totally on God rather than on their own strength or possessions. In this first day of Lent, God invites us to empty our hearts of pride, self-sufficiency, and distractions, so that He can fill our lives with His grace, peace, and guidance. It is a call to trust God in simplicity and humility.

ACTION: Search your heart to know if there is any pride, arrogance, or self sufficiency. Ask God to help you deal with it because pride, arrogance or self sufficiency is a terrible sin before God, and any of them can hinder both spiritual and physical growth.

Prayer:
Lord, please, teach me to be humble and to depend fully on You. Remove pride and self-reliance from my heart and fill me with Your grace. Help me to walk with You this period and beyond...
In Jesus Christ name. Amen!

Topic : INTEGRITY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS IN LEADERSHIP

Text : PROVERBS 16:12-13

Leadership is the action of leading a group of people, and it is a sacred trust. Whether in the family, workplace, church, or government, a leader's actions impact the lives of many. Among the key virtues every leader must possess are integrity and righteousness. These are not optional; they are foundational. Without them, leadership becomes toxic and destructive.
Proverbs 16:12 says, “It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness.” This verse highlights that righteous living is what gives stability and legitimacy to leadership. Corruption, dishonesty, and compromise erode the foundation of leadership.

Titus 1:7-8 emphasizes the moral requirements for church leaders being blameless, not self-willed or quick-tempered, but hospitable, self-controlled, and upright. Paul stresses that a leader’s private character must match their public role. It is not enough to lead by title; one must lead by godly character.

As leaders in any sphere of life, we must prioritize truth, fairness, and transparency. Integrity means doing what is right even when no one is watching. Righteousness demands that we align our choices with God’s standards, not popular opinion. This may mean resisting corruption, admitting mistakes, or standing alone for what is right. When we lead with integrity, we gain trust and honor God. Ask yourself today, are my decisions driven by convenience or by conviction?

Meditation: Proverbs 11: 3

Prayer : Lord, help me to lead with integrity and righteousness, and let my life reflect Your truth in every decision I make. Amen.
