How does a person walk into custody and never walk out?

There are some deaths that leave behind more than grief. They leave questions.

And some questions, in Nigeria, are never really answered.

A group of men were arrested during a routine enforcement operation. None of them had been convicted of anything. None of them came home.

The silence that followed is the part nobody wants to talk about because the harder question isn’t how they died. It’s who was supposed to protect them, and why nobody did.

According to reports, 20-year-old Favour Agbor traveled from Warri to Asaba after responding to a mentorship offer from a popular content creator.

She later alleged that she was sexually assaulted, informed her family, sought help, and tried to pursue justice.
If survivors are told to report, speak, and trust the system, then their voices must not be ignored when they do. Favour’s story demands accountability, not silence.
