I'll never forget the day I made the biggest mistake of my life. I was the king, and I had the power to make life or death decisions. But on that fateful day, I let my advisors deceive me.

They convinced me to sign a law that said no one could pray to anyone but me for thirty days. I thought it was a great way to show my people who was boss. But little did I know, it was all a trick to get rid of my friend.

He was a good man, and I trusted him with my life. But my advisors were jealous of his influence over me, and they wanted him gone. When I found out what they had done, I was filled with regret and anger.

I tried to change the law, but it was too late. My friend had already been thrown into the lion's den. I was devastated. How could I have been so blind? How could I have let my advisors use me to hurt my friend?

I spent the whole night pacing in my palace, feeling guilty and helpless. I prayed for his safety, promising to do anything to make it right if he survived.

The next morning, I rushed to the lion's den, fearing the worst. But when I opened the door, I was amazed. My friend, Daniel was standing calmly in the middle of the den, surrounded by lions that were sleeping peacefully at his feet.

I was overjoyed and relieved. I ordered his release and promised to punish the advisors who had deceived me. From that day on, I made sure to surround myself with people I could trust.

And Daniel? He forgave me and remained my closest friend and advisor.

HE TAUGHT me a valuable lesson about loyalty, faith, and the importance of listening to my heart.

Who is that one person you could call your friend? Have you had one whom you can boldly say you are loyal to and won't backstab?

Remember, God says to "Love Him and your neighbor as yourself." Let us reflect on our relationships and ask ourselves:

- Who is that one person I can truly call my friend?
- Am I being a good friend to others?
- Am I showing love and loyalty to those around me?

I remember going to birthday parties and seeing other kids get cool presents. I'd wish for those things too, but my dad would just smile and say "Maybe next year." But next year never came.

We didn't have much money. My dad worked really hard, but we still struggled. I'd see my friends with new shoes, clothes, and treats, and I'd want those things too. My dad would tell me we were okay with what we had.

As I got older, I started to get frustrated. Why couldn't we have what others did? That's when I met some new friends who showed me a different way to live. They introduced me to exciting things, but it wasn't all good.

One day, I found an old notebook belonging to my dad. He wrote that being happy with what you have is the real wealth. It made me think – is that true? Can you really be happy without all the fancy things?
