Today, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were all attacked by the Iranian regime.

These six countries, together with other Arab partners and allies, uniformly condemned the attacks as a flagrant violation of their national sovereignty and an unacceptable escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.

This aggression is also a stark reminder of the shared threats facing both Israel and the Arab world, and of the need for deeper regional cooperation.

In early 2026, Israel officially integrated its groundbreaking "Iron Beam" laser defense system into its national air defense array, following successful delivery to the Israeli Air Force on December 29, 2025. This high-energy directed-energy weapon, also known as "Or Eitan," utilizes a 100-kilowatt fiber laser to intercept rockets, mortars, and drones with extreme precision. By engaging targets at the speed of light, the system provides a rapid response to saturation attacks, where adversaries attempt to overwhelm defenses with large barrages of low-cost projectiles.

The primary advantage of the Iron Beam is its ability to collapse the "cost-imposition" warfare model used by regional actors. While traditional kinetic interceptors, such as the Iron Dome’s Tamir missiles, can cost between $40,000 and $150,000 per shot, a laser interception costs as little as $2 in electricity. This allows for a virtually unlimited "magazine depth," as the system does not require physical ammunition and can fire continuously as long as it has a stable power supply. This shift ensures that defending against cheap, mass-produced drones and rockets remains economically sustainable over long periods of conflict.
