HERE ARE SIX THINGS PHYSIOTHERAPY CAN DO TO YOUR BODY.

By Okenwa (PT.)
Pain reduction: Physiotherapy can help reduce pain in various parts of the body, including the back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. The therapist uses techniques such as massage, heat therapy, and electrical stimulation to decrease pain.

Improve Mobility: Physiotherapy can help improve mobility and range of motion by using exercises and stretches that target specific areas of the body. This is particularly useful for people who have suffered from injuries or conditions that limit their movement.

Strengthen Muscles: Physiotherapy can help strengthen muscles that have become weak due to injury or illness. This is done through exercises that target specific muscle groups, and can help improve overall strength and balance.

Improve Balance: Physiotherapy can help improve balance by working on the muscles and joints that are responsible for maintaining balance. This is particularly useful for elderly patients or those with conditions that affect their balance.

Improve Cardiovascular Health: Physiotherapy can help improve cardiovascular health by using exercises that increase heart rate and improve circulation. This can help prevent conditions such as heart disease and stroke.

Prevent Injuries: Physiotherapy can help prevent injuries by identifying and correcting imbalances or weaknesses in the body. This is done through exercises and stretches that target specific areas of the body, and can help improve overall strength and flexibility.

Is PHYSIOTHERAPY PAINFUL ?

By Okenwa (PT.)

The thing about fear is that if fills the mind with negativity that might lead to a patient’s death.
Recently had an encounter with a young woman named Sarah who had injured her leg in a car accident. Her doctor recommended physiotherapy to help her recover and regain her mobility. However, Sarah was afraid of the pain she thought she would have to endure during the therapy sessions.
Sarah's first physiotherapy appointment was scheduled for the next day, and she said she couldn't sleep night the night before her first session l. She was nervous and anxious about what was going to happen. The next morning, she arrived at the clinic,
She met with her physiotherapist Mondale who sat down with her and explained the entire physiotherapy process to her. He told her that it was normal to feel some discomfort during the sessions, but it should never be too painful. He reassured Sarah that He would be with her every step of the way and that together, they would help her regain her strength and mobility.
Sarah's first session started with some simple stretching exercises. Mondale was gentle, yet firm, as she worked with Sarah's leg. At first, Sarah felt a little discomfort, but it quickly went away, and she started to relax. Emily encouraged her to take deep breaths and talked to her about her progress.
As the weeks went by, Sarah's fear of physiotherapy began to fade away. She started to look forward to her sessions with the physiotherapist, and she could feel herself getting stronger and more mobile. Mondale was always patient and understanding, and she would adjust the exercises according to Sarah's progress.
One day, Sarah realized that she was no longer afraid of physiotherapy. She had come a long way from her first session, and she was proud of herself. She knew that she had Mondale to thank for her progress and for helping her overcome her fear of pain.
In the end, Sarah learned that physiotherapy wasn't as painful as she had feared. It was a necessary step in her recovery, and with the right physiotherapist, it could be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Sarah was grateful for the opportunity to work with Mondale and regain her strength and mobility, and she would recommend physiotherapy to anyone who needed it.
