We agreed you’ll drink 2 litres of water every day 😭
So how far today?
16/05/2026
Some days you answer everybody else and forget to check on yourself.
So… are you okay today?
15/05/2026
You’ve probably said “stop that” and “leave there” 50 times today already 😭
But have you laughed today at all?
14/05/2026
You’ve probably been moving up and down since morning, and not sat down once.
If you needed a sign to take a short break, this is it.
13/05/2026
You’ve probably fed everyone else and still said “I’ll eat later.”
If you needed a sign to stop and eat, this is it.

For the past 30 days, Nigerian mums have shared these posts, sent late-night DMs, tagged their friends, and said, “This is exactly how I feel.” Honestly, that means more to us than you know.
So to celebrate 30 days of talking about the parts of motherhood people usually keep to themselves, everything at 5StarMums Store is 20% off for the next 48 hours.
Use the code MUMS20 at checkout.
If there is something you have been eyeing since Day 1, this is your sign to finally get it.
You deserve support too.
Everything is in the link in bio.

You have been following us for a while now. You have saved the posts, shared them with friends, and said, “This is exactly how I feel.”
But maybe you still have not bought anything yet, not because you do not want help. You just do not know where to start.
And honestly, when you are already tired, overwhelmed, emotional, sleep deprived, and trying to hold everything together, making one more decision can feel exhausting too.
So let us make it easier for you.
If you just had your baby and everything feels like a lot right now, start with the First 30 Days After Birth guide.
If you have been carrying too much emotionally and do not even know how to explain what you are feeling, start with the Postpartum Clarity Journal.
If motherhood has made you feel disconnected from yourself, start with Inner Child Meet Motherhood.
If your body confidence has changed after birth and you want support navigating that gently, start with Belly Fat Reset or the SnapBack Journey.
If your marriage has felt different since having a baby, the S*x Recovery Program was created for that season.
If you need someone to listen without judging you or rushing you, book The Listening Lounge.
If you need trusted help at home, send us a message about our Nanny Services.
If you want guidance based on your specific situation, book a 1:1 Consultation.
And if you still do not know where to begin, send us a DM and tell us where you are in your motherhood journey.
We will help you figure out the best place to start.
Everything is in the link in bio.

When we started sharing these posts four weeks ago, we did not know if anybody was really listening. We just knew these were things Nigerian mothers needed to hear.
That the six-week checkup is not the end of recovery.
That postpartum rage is real and does not make you a bad mother.
That your marriage changing after a baby does not automatically mean love disappeared.
That your body is not failing you, it is healing.
That the dreams you had before pregnancy still matter.
That asking for help is not weakness.
That you do not have to pretend to be fine when you are struggling.
And slowly, you responded. You saved the posts. You shared them with your friends. You sent messages saying, “This is exactly how I feel.”
That is why we are not stopping.
Because there are still Nigerian mothers sitting in crowded houses feeling completely alone.
There are still women googling things at 3am because nobody prepared them for what motherhood would really feel like.
There are still mothers trying to stay strong every day when what they really need is support.
5StarMums exists for you, and we will keep showing up every day to remind Nigerian mothers that they do not have to carry everything alone.
If these posts have helped you, share this page with another Nigerian mother today. The woman who needs it most may not have found us yet.

Nobody told us these things before we became mums, so we are telling you now.
1. People will come to see the baby. Very few people will even ask how the mother is doing.
2. After delivery, everybody will flood your house. Then one day, without warning, you will be completely on your own.
3. Once you give birth, everybody becomes an expert. People who have never even carried a baby before will start advising you.
4. Breastfeeding is not always sweet like Instagram. Sometimes it is pain, confusion, frustration, and tears.
5. Lack of sleep will make you snap at small things, forget things, and feel like your brain has stopped working.
6. Your husband may start acting like everything is normal again faster than you, and it can cause wahala at home because you are still adjusting.
7. That six-week checkup does not mean you are fine. Many women are still exhausted, emotional, and not themselves months after giving birth.
8. Going back to work after maternity leave can hit you like a wall, even if you genuinely love your job and missed it.
9. Many women are expected to behave like they don't have children at work, and behave like they don't have jobs at home.
10. If you keep doing everything alone and pretending you are fine, one day it will just catch up with you.
Save this and send it to a pregnant woman you know. She will understand it better later.

She bought the best diapers, imported formula, and clothes the baby did not even need because they were too cute to remain in the shop.
She bought the bouncer, rocker, and play mat with hanging toys without thinking twice. But when it was time to shop for herself, she suddenly became an Accountant.
The wig she had been postponing for months. The massage she kept saying she would book later. The journal that could help her process her thoughts. Even proper rest started to feel like a luxury she had not earned yet.
She kept telling herself the same things.
“It is not the right time.”
“I will buy it next month.”
“I should spend that money on the baby first.”
“My husband will ask what I bought.”
So she kept putting herself last because that is what many women were taught a good mother does.
But a mother who is constantly exhausted and overwhelmed deserves care. Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your family too.
You are allowed to buy things not only because they are useful or necessary. You do not need to earn rest or moments that make you feel good. Wanting something for yourself is already a good enough reason.
You do not have to wait until you completely fall apart before you choose yourself.
5StarMums has support starting from ₦2,500 whenever you are ready.

Egusi is rich in zinc and healthy fats, and your baby’s brain development benefits from it. Oha soup contains iron and folate, which your body needs as your blood volume increases during pregnancy. Ofada rice has a lower glycaemic index than white rice, which helps with managing blood sugar levels. Bitter leaf supports your liver, and crayfish provides calcium that your baby needs for bone development.
This is the food you already eat. The food your mother and grandmother encouraged you to eat during pregnancy was not superstition, it was practical nutrition long before it became formalised science.
What many people do not realise is that your nutritional needs change at each stage of pregnancy, and what your body needs at eight weeks is not the same as what it needs at thirty-two weeks.
That is exactly what the Pregnancy Meal Plan is designed for. It guides you through each trimester with meals built around Nigerian foods you can easily find, while making sure you and your baby are getting what you need at every stage.
It is customisable, affordable, and built for your real life. The plan is N5,000 per trimester, or N15,000 for the full three-trimester bundle.
