Question:
Write a letter to the Chairman of your Local Government complaining about poor sanitation in your area.

24, Independence Road,
Kano State.

10th May, 2026.

The Chairman,
Nassarawa Local Government Area,
Kano State.

Dear Sir,

LETTER OF COMPLAINT ABOUT POOR SANITATION IN OUR AREA

I am writing this letter to complain about the poor sanitation condition in our community.

For some months now, heaps of refuse have been left uncleared along the streets and drainage channels in our area. This has caused offensive smells and created an unhealthy environment for residents. During rainfall, the blocked drainage channels lead to flooding which destroys roads and makes movement difficult.

Another serious problem is the increase in mosquitoes and flies which may spread diseases such as malaria and cholera among the people living in the community. Many residents, especially children, are affected by these unhealthy conditions.

We therefore appeal to your office to send sanitation workers to clear the refuse dumps and evacuate waste regularly. Drainage channels should also be properly cleaned to allow free flow of water.

We believe that your quick intervention will help improve the health and safety of the people in our area.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Yours faithfully,
Ibrahim Sani.

Question:
Write a letter to your friend advising him or her on the importance of hard work in school.

17, BUK Road,
Kano State.

10th May, 2026.

Dear Ahmed,

LETTER TO MY FRIEND ON THE IMPORTANCE OF HARD WORK IN SCHOOL

I hope you are doing well and progressing in your studies. I received your last letter and I was happy to hear from you.

I am writing this letter to advise you on the importance of hard work in school. Hard work is one of the major keys to success in life. A student who studies seriously and completes assignments regularly will perform well in examinations.

Many successful people in society today achieved their goals through dedication and hard work. As students, we must attend classes regularly, listen attentively to our teachers, read our books daily, and avoid bad company that may distract us from our education.

Hard work also helps students to become disciplined, responsible, and confident. Although success may not come easily, patience and determination always bring good results in the future.

I therefore encourage you to take your studies seriously and remain focused on your academic goals. I believe that with hard work, you will succeed greatly in life.

Thank you and remain blessed.

Yours sincerely,
Sadiq Ibrahim.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL NCE STUDENTS.

Congratulations to all NCE students nationwide on the approval and implementation of the Continuous Five (5)-Year NCE–Degree Programme by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).

According to the ministerial directives issued by the NCCE on 5th May, 2026, all Colleges of Education operating the Dual Mandate programme are to commence full implementation of the new structure from the 2026/2027 academic session. This new system provides a smooth academic pathway of 3 years for the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and an additional 2 years degree programme for eligible NCE graduates.

This means that students who successfully complete their NCE programme will now have the opportunity to proceed directly into the degree programme at 300 Level within the same academic structure, making the process easier, faster, and more coordinated.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening the value of the NCE qualification as the minimum teaching standard while also creating a seamless transition to Bachelor’s degree certification within Colleges of Education.

We sincerely appreciate the Federal Ministry of Education and the NCCE for this remarkable development which will greatly benefit students and the education sector nationwide.

Congratulations once again to all NCE students, aspirants, and stakeholders across Nigeria. Greater opportunities are ahead.
