🚨JAMB SETS TO RELEASE 2025 RESIT UTME RESULTS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results for candidates who were rescheduled to retake the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

These rescheduled examinations, which took place between Friday, May 16, and Monday, May 19, 2025, were arranged for candidates who experienced issues during the initial exam period.

All affected candidates will be able to check their results latest as from Thursday morning.

!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!!

A JAMB score below 150 may seem low, but it doesn't automatically disqualify you from admission. Many polytechnics and colleges of education accept scores even as low as 100 for diploma and NCE programs. While universities generally have a higher cut-off mark, some courses and institutions may still consider lower scores.

The general cut-off mark for universities is 160 and above. However, some courses may have lower cut-offs, and it's always advisable to check the specific cut-off scores for the program and institution you're interested in.

To access their UTME scores, candidates must use the mobile number used during registration. JAMB has provided two official SMS numbers—55019 and 66019 — for the result-checking service.

Noted: Scores below 150 don't loose hope yet there is still a chance for you to fulfill your purpose,if you still want to go for that your course with low cut-off mark use WhatsApp button for help and assistant.

JAMB WITHHOLDS RESULTS OF 39,834 UTME CANDIDATES:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it has withheld the results of 39,834 candidates out of over 1.9 million who sat for the recently concluded 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In addition, the board revealed that 80 individuals are currently being investigated for exam malpractice, with Anambra State having the highest number of suspects — 14 in total.

Speaking during the official release of the 2025 UTME results on Friday, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede also disclosed that 41,000 underaged candidates participated in the exam. Out of these, only 467 met the minimum required score, while 50 candidates were involved in cheating-related offenses.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), revealing a concerning performance trend among candidates.

HOW TO CHECK 2025 UTME RESULTS via SMS:

To check their results, candidates can follow these simple steps:
1. Use the registered phone number: linked to their JAMB profile.
2. Compose an SMS with the text: “UTMERESULT” (in uppercase, no spaces).
3. Send the message to 55019 or 66019
4. Ensure there is at least ₦50 airtime on the line, as the service costs ₦50 per SMS.

NOTE: Candidates are advised to rely solely on the SMS method for now as the results checking portal is currently unavailable.

JAMB TO RELEASE 2025 UTME RESULTS FRIDAY*

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will be released on Friday, May 9, 2025.

This means candidates who sat for this year’s UTME can begin checking their scores from Friday morning.

The board disclosed the development in an official notice made available to the Press in Abuja.

“The release of 2025 UTME is scheduled to hold tomorrow Friday 9th May, 2025; Venue: JAMB National Headquarters Bwari Abuja; Time: 8am,” the statement read.

Reacting to the performance data, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, said the results reflect the effectiveness of government efforts to curb exam malpractice.

“The high failure rate in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is clear evidence that the government’s anti-malpractice measures are yielding results, especially within the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board system,” he said.

𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐘 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐔𝐓𝐌𝐄 𝐉𝐀𝐌𝐁 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒:

`Some Candidates may NOT see their UTME results because of the following issues.

𝟏. 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒:
• Over 60,000 results are withheld due to exam misconduct allegations.
• These results will be reviewed, and if the candidates are cleared, their results will be released.

𝟐. 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃:
•JAMB releases results in batches.
•Candidates should check back later, as their results might be processed and released subsequently.

𝟑. 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐒𝐌𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓:
•Candidates must send "UTMERESULT" to 55019 or 66019 without mistakes.
•Ensure the message is sent exactly as instructed to avoid errors.

𝟒. 𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑:
•The SMS must be sent from the same phone number used for JAMB registration.
•Using a different phone number can prevent result delivery.

𝟓. 𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊 𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐄𝐒:
•Network errors prevent result delivery.
•Candidates can try again later, potentially during off-peak hours, to resolve network-related issues.
