You must adopt a student's mindset if you want to succeed in life.

The issue arises when we think we are above everyone else and cannot learn from them.

Rule number one: Be humble

When opportunity knocks, it usually looks like hard work, and most people reply with:

- I don't have time right now; please come later.

- I'm watching comedy sketches right now. I'll do this later.

- I'll respond to this when I get dash.

Then they wake up and realize they're 70 years old and have accomplished nothing.

When you strive to do everything, you end up failing at the most important thing.

Choose one thing to work on this week.

One thing that matters most in your life, family, business, relationships, school, or whatever.

Choose one thing and devote your entire attention and energy to it.

JUST ONE THING.

A few years back, someone close to me observed me reading Brian Tracy's book GOALS.

She asked me the question I was thinking at the time:

What is preventing her from achieving her goals, despite having written them down for years?

That was back in 2016.

It's interesting that the answer came from a colleague's 2017 Facebook post. He goes by the name Balog Dan, and I believe the message came from above.

He shared the following on Facebook that year:

"Commit to DOING the difficult things, the things other people run away from, the things that scare you."

Since then, it has become more obvious to me that:



You are where you are because of one or more of the following four major reasons:

(1) You don't do the things you need to do.

(2) You don't do them quickly enough.

(3) You don't do them consistently.

(4) You don't go the extra mile with them.

That is why, this year, I have created a watchword that I would like you to adopt as well.

So it is.

This year, 2024, I am going to commit to doing the uncomfortable and difficult things that I usually avoid, the things that frighten me (name them here). Successful growth for me will come from doing the difficult things. So help me, God.



Every day, I want you to remind yourself of this watchword by reading it aloud three times when you wake up and three times before you go to bed.

But I don't want you to just read it; I want you to live by that watchword.

You are able to skip something whenever you are able.

Remember this pledge whenever you are able to stay from doing anything you needed to achieve.

When you commit to DOING the things that need to be done this year, it makes it simpler for God to deliver you bountiful growth and rewards.

That's how it goes.

The question is, how desperately do you need extra success in your life?

To put yourself to the test, read it aloud three times before closing this email.

Today, I want to share with you a message that will inspire you.

I penned the following note for myself back in December 2019.

Commit to completing the challenging tasks in 2020.

The things that terrify you make other people run...

For it is in doing the difficult things that true progress is going to happen for you.

Consider the things you failed to accomplish in the past year because you didn't put in the necessary effort, you didn't succeed in achieving them or you gave up too soon.

So allow me to ask you something.
Are you living your life doing the same thing you have always done that is not bringing any improvement?

Or are you doing the same thing that the majority of people are doing which is why they are mediocre and poor?

Are you avoiding difficult decisions that have the potential to improve your life yet appear frightening?

THE SIMPLE TRUTH IS: In order to progress in life, you must adjust many aspects of your life.

Some of my buddies had to be replaced.

My regimen has to be altered.

I also had to alter my work ethics.
Change is frightening.

It is not simple.

That is why the majority of people wake up and perform the same mundane things that do not better their life.

E.g.

Starting a business can improve your life if you get started but many people don't do it because it is scary.

They continue to listen to the voice in their thoughts telling them to do nothing.

'What if you don't succeed?"

The voice says

"Your colleagues, friends, and family will laugh at you"

As a result, many people do nothing.

And then a month goes by...

Then a year goes by...

Then 5 years go by...

They're still in the same spot.

95% of those who read this will do nothing.

They'll just keep reading and doing what they've always done.

But I'm confident that only 5% of people will take this message seriously and make changes that will enhance their lives.

They are the ones who take responsibility for their lives and do what it takes to be in control of their income and their destiny.



I hope you are one of the 5%.



If you are, then I want to let you know that changing your life starts with reprogramming your mind.



Reprogramming your mind is the most important thing you need to do if you want to improve your income or just get ahead in life.

And reprogramming your mind starts with what you feed your mind on a daily basis.


As a Nigerian who grew up in Nigeria, many of us have to GET RID of the stubborn poverty mindset that has been programmed into us over the years.

This poverty mindset is your number one enemy that keeps dragging you down.

It is why many people keep struggling with their careers or any business they start



Until you begin to attack this mindset and overcome it, majority of the opportunities that come your way will end up the same way.



I know this is a tough truth.



But the earlier you accept it, the better for you.
