Celebrating a Statesman at 89 🎉🇳🇬

As we celebrate an extraordinary leader, elder statesman, and patriot, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, as he marks his 89th birthday.

He is a towering figure in Nigeria’s history, Baba Obasanjo has dedicated decades of his life to the service of the nation, shaping the political and democratic landscape of Nigeria.

Born on March 5, 1937, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Olusegun Obasanjo began his career in the Nigerian Army, rising through the ranks to become one of the country’s most influential military officers. His leadership first came to national prominence in 1976 when he became Nigeria’s Head of State following the assassination of General Murtala Mohammed.

In a defining moment for Nigeria, he peacefully handed over power to a civilian government in 1979, making history as the first Nigerian military ruler to voluntarily transfer power to a democratically elected leader.
Two decades later, he returned to lead the country again—this time as a democratically elected president from 1999 to 2007. His presidency marked Nigeria’s transition from years of military rule to a new democratic era.

During this period, he focused on economic reforms, anti-corruption efforts, debt relief negotiations, and strengthening Nigeria’s position on the global stage.
Beyond politics, Baba Obasanjo is widely respected as a farmer, author, international diplomat, and advocate for peace and development across Africa. His wisdom, courage, and dedication to national unity have earned him admiration both within Nigeria and around the world.

At 89, Baba Obasanjo remains a symbol of resilience, leadership, and service. His life continues to inspire generations of Nigerians to pursue nation-building with courage, integrity, and vision.

Only time will tell ...

According to the Bible, when righteous leaders are in power, the people rejoice, but when evil leaders prevail, the people perish.

Today, it is clear that evil is in power, as people are being murdered and kidnapped daily by non-state actors. This raises questions about the existence of a functioning government that cares about the lives of its citizens. It seems that those in power are more concerned with politics and the 2027 elections.

I strongly believe that my household and I will not be negatively affected by this evil regime, as we did not support it. Those who support evil will ultimately suffer the consequences of their actions. This is not a curse.

It is crucial to stand for truth, equity, and justice, regardless of the circumstances. By doing so, one can ensure that prosperity will favour them and their future generations when the time comes.

You know that they are sending you to go shoot others in the nameof politics, and the day you will meet those who will sh@ot you don't run or complain.
