Sleep paralysis is when your brain wakes up, but your body is still asleep.

You know you’re awake. You can see what’s around you, but you can’t move, talk, or even shout. It feels like your body is frozen for a few seconds or minutes. Then, all of a sudden, everything goes back to normal.

That’s why many people describe it as one of the scariest things they’ve ever experienced.

Imagine waking up and realizing you’re awake, but your whole body refuses to move. You try to scream, but no sound comes out. You even try to call on Jesus, but it’s like your mouth won’t open no matter how hard you try.

Sleep paralysis can happen in any sleeping position, but many people report that it happens more often when they’re sleeping on their back (face up).

This sleep paralysis, eh… after you finally wake up, you’ll still feel so sleepy, and if you’re not careful, it can feel like it’s trying to happen again.

The scariest part is feeling like you’re shouting for help, but nobody can hear you. You’re fully aware of everything happening around you, yet you can’t move a single muscle.

Personally, I have noticed that the more I try to force myself to wake up, the harder it becomes. So instead of struggling, I just try to relax and allow it, then few minutes later I’m okay.
