TLF
it's the revelation of christ..
READ YOUR BIBLE & PRAY EVERYDAY.
Growing in the knowledge of Jesus is THE WILL OF GOD for every saved man (1Timothy 2:4, 2Peter 3:18). God doesn’t want us to be ignorant about His will, plan, and purpose for our lives, His church and the world at large. This is why He has provided us with avenues of both “knowing Him” and “Communicating with Him” - And this is simply by “Reading your Bible and Praying everyday” ! You see, when you do these two things daily, YOU ARE MEETING WITH GOD DAILY! This is why, the devil fights hard to make believers miss these things, for he knows that, it is the secrete of stable, consistent, and ever-growing men in the faith!
Joshua 1:8KJV
[8]This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
The book (Genesis to Deuteronomy) must be read by Joshua.
Joshua would have to read the Torah, but, today, we will have to read Genesis to Revelation and MEDITATE ON WHAT WE HAVE READ DAY AND NIGHT…. The “Day and Night” would simply imply “ *Consistency* ”. You see, only those who do this consistently will “Make their way prosperous and have good success” - Now this doesn’t mean earthly or material blessings, it can simply mean - THEY WILL GROW IN THE LORD AND FOLLOW HIS PLANS FOR THEIR LIVES. The Bible is not a book to read for you to become “successful in Life”. The reason for the documentation of the scriptures is THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IN CHRIST, HIS SALVATION PLAN AND WE IN HIM (BY HIM),
2Timothy 3:15KJV
[15]And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, *WHICH ARE ABLE TO MAKE YOU WISE UNTO SALVATION THROUGH FAITH WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS* .
This is why we have the scriptures - TO MAKE US WISE UNTO SALVATION- not to make us wealthy, not to make us influential in the market place, neither is it to give us wives or husbands etc.
To read the Bible outside the boundary of the knowledge of Jesus is to give room to the deceit of the enemy. This was why the Pharisees and sadducees had issues with the teachings of Jesus. They weren’t reading the Old Testament properly, hence we heard Jesus always telling them - “Have you not read” ?( Matthew 12:3, Matthew 12:5, Matthew 19:4, Matthew 21:16, Matthew 21:42, etc). The word “Read” in the following verses and many more, was translated from a Greek word “Anaginōskō” and it means “To read it again, or to read it properly or to read it intelligently” ! So therefore, reading the scriptures with Jesus in your consciousness is how to read it intelligently!
The beauty of reading the scriptures and praying CONSISTENTLY is that we are yielding ourselves to God, and the more we do that, the more we get better, and the better representatives of Him we become.
Observe the following verses 👇🏾
Proverbs 4:20-22KJV
[20]My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
[21]Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
[22]For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
We mustn’t let God’s word depart from our eyes and our hearts. We must hold fast to it and consistently so.
James 1:21-25KJV
[21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
[22]But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[23]For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[24]For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
[25]But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
We must learn to “Look” (inspect and aim at understanding) God’s word and do this CONSISTENTLY - for only then can we be “blessed” in our deeds (make the most of our lives for Christ, follow His plans for our lives, be proper ambassadors and representatives of Him on the earth)!
Apostle Paul, in writing to Timothy instructed the same things,
1Timothy 4:13-16KJV
[13]Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
[14]Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
[15]Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
[16]Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
If you notice the verses we just read, there’s always that thing about being CONSISTENT in reading/studying God’s Word.
It’s same with prayer,
Romans 12:12KJV
[12]Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; CONTINUING INSTANT IN PRAYER.
Ephesians 6:18KJV
[18]PRAYING ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Colossians 4:2KJV
[2]CONTINUE IN PRAYER, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.
1Thessalonians 5:17KJV
[17] PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.
NEVER STOP PRAYING
NEVER EVER STOP READING GOD’S WORD! PLAN TO DO IT EVERYDAY OF YOUR LIFE!!!!
….and when you READ the word, do so with the consciousness of Jesus! For if your Bible study and prayer is not about Him, then frustration in the faith looms!
The scriptures is the testimony of Jesus (John 5:39)
It makes us wise unto salvation (1timothy 3:15)
Jesus Himself explained the Law and the prophets pointing to Him as the reason why they were canonized ( Luke 24:25-27, 44-46) , Same with apostle Peter (1Peter 1:10-12) and apostle Paul (1Corinthians 15:1-4).
This is just a few among many other New Testament scriptures that testifies to the fact that THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BECAUSE OF JESUS AND HIS SALVATION PLAN FOR MAN.
Your primary reason for reading the Bible and praying daily is so that you can KNOW THE LORD, FELLOWSHIP AND COMMUNE WITH HIM AND PRACTICE HIS PRESENCE! Anything other than these is to be hypocritical in your devotion. This is why when you see some believers who read the word and pray because of “issues”, many times when the problems are solved by God, they become rebellious in their communion with the Lord until another problem emerge!
God does not want our communion with Him to be inspired by life’s situations and circumstances, but our Love for Him (because of His love for us)!
We will also discover that when we are consistent with our devotions (daily) it will build in us THE STEADFASTNESS required to resist the devil when he shows up (1Peter 5:8&9).
We will be able to handle challenges Just like Jesus would have handled them(Acts 16:16-30).
It will be easy to know and flow with the leadings of the Spirit of God (Acts 10:9-48) - not just in the ministry, but in every area of our lives!
We will become a blessing to others just as Jesus would have(through our words, conducts, and ministry) etc.
All these and many more are offshoots of our consistent devotion with the Lord (Matthew 6:6).
As I round up, know this - *That whenever you pray, you are talking TO God, and whenever you read/study the word, God is talking TO you*! It’s a father-son communion. So,ensure you aren’t too busy to talk to God and also hear from Him, for this in itself is a BLESSING and you must not allow anything whatsoever in this world deprive you of that sacred time with the Lord Jesus!
Seen this ?
Blessed?
Say ;
I take heed to reading the word and praying daily.
Nothing will make me become too busy to do what is expected of me.
In Jesus Name, amen!
WHAT IS MEDITATION AND HOW IS IT DONE?
There are certain things that MUST be regularly practiced by us if we want to stay spiritually ‘fresh’. There are things to DO to maintain your spiritual glow and MEDITATION is one of them.
Meditation simply means to think, imagine and speak God’s word. It involves your “heart” and your “mouth”. *IT IS TO BE DONE DELIBERATELY*. You don’t ‘wish’ it, you DO it!
God wants His word to be the predominant thought in our minds, and this would be ascertained when we engage in the art of meditation.
Joshua 1:8KJV
[8]This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
This was the Lord’s word to Joshua who succeeded Moses in the ministry. God told him that the way to make his way prosperous and have good success is by meditation. The “good success” has nothing to do with material gains. We can infuse “God’s plan” in that text. In other words, if Joshua will meditate on God’s word, He will follow the will of God for his life. You see, When you neglect God’s word, you can’t fulfill His plan for your life, you won’t be able to make the most of your faith walk!
Psalms 119:97KJV
[97]O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
One major proof that you Love God’s word is that you LOVE TO THINK ABOUT IT. If it’s not in your thoughts, then something else is in there. But we can put God’s word FIRST in our consciousness.
Psalms 145:3KJV
[3]I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.
We can meditate on the work Christ did for us on the cross, we can think about His indwelling Spirit in our hearts, we can meditate about how God can use us for His glory on the earth, just like He did with Jesus, etc. The truth is, *what you meditate upon determines the outcome of your walk with God*. But when we refuse to engage in meditation, we become stagnant in our journey of faith.
Let me give you a perfect example of how mediation was done by David.
Psalms 103:1-12KJV
[1]Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
[2]Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
[3]Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
[4]Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
[5]Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
[6]The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
[7]He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
[8]The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
[9]He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
[10]He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
[11]For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
[12]As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Now that’s how to meditate! You have to deliberately choose to remember Christ and what He has done for you and SAY it out with your mouth (David sang his in the texts above- you can, too)!
Some believers know how to “meditate” only about the negative. Have you ever been worried before? If yes, then you know how to meditate. You remember those times when you were under a certain kind of pressure? how you were thinking, analyzing and pacing up and down in your room, talking to yourself, trying to figure out what to do? THAT IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO WITH GOD’S WORD! YOU OUGHT TO ‘WORRY’ ABOUT IT- THAT IS HOW TO MEDITATE!
Meditation is how to PUT on the Lord Jesus in your consciousness and make NO provision for the flesh [Romans 13:14].
Colossians 3:16KJV
[16]Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Letting the word of Christ dwell in us richly would be a function of meditation. Singing and making melodies in our hearts unto the Lord is also meditation. We can think the word, we can say the word, we can SING the word (Songs that speaks about the realities of Christ), etc and when we do this, we will discover that *ACTING ON THE WORD BECOMES NATURAL FOR US*.
Meditation helps us in clearing our minds from worldly baggages and making Jesus the umpire in it. Meditating on the word is spiritual warfare, *IT WILL CAST DOWN CONTRARY OPINIONS THAT IS AGAINST THE WILL OF GOD IN YOUR HEART*.
Philippians 4:8KJV
[8]Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, *think on these things*.
There is a way God wants us to “think” and it is spelt out in the verse above.
Dear believer, learn to use your heart and your mouth the way God wants you to use it and give NO place to the devil!
Clear ?
Have a blessed day.
Grace & Peace.
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part Ten).
Colossians 3:20-21KJV
[20]Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
[21]Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Children are not left out of the scene. They Must obey their parents in All things. It's pleasing to the Lord. When your parents correct you, keep quiet! Don't talk back! Some children even have the audacity to insult the one who gave birth to them. If you are acting this way, you are behaving carnal. You have no right under heaven to insult them, rather you should seek for avenues to honour them,
Ephesians 6:1-3KJV
[1]Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
[2]Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
[3]That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
The apostle Paul was quoting one of the ten commandments here [Exodus 20:12]!
Now understand that the motive behind honouring your parents should be pure. You don't honour them ONLY because you want it to be well with you, or so that you'll live long on earth. You honour them because that's your nature, that's how you ought to behave as a new creature! You honour and respect them because it is already WELL with you In Christ. In the New covenant, "we don't do things to become (or get blessed)....", "we DO Because we ARE already blessed...". I hope you understand ?
Children (no matter what age) as long as your parents are still alive, you are a child to them, so you must Learn to honour them, obey them, if you are a working class guy/lady , set aside a part of your income to honour them, visit them, know what's going on with them... that's how to honour them!
Fathers, don't provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. Ensure you bring them up in the way of the Lord,
Ephesians 6:4KJV
[4]And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
When you bring them up this way, be sure they would be good representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ, they will follow God's plan for their lives. And also don't forget not to spare the rod as you bring them up. Don't be too cool to s***k them when they act headstrong sometimes, it's for their own benefit,
Proverbs 13:24KJV
[24]He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Proverbs 29:17KJV
[17]Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
Fathers must Learn to rule well in their homes ,
1 Timothy 3:4KJV
[4]One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity.
The context of this speaks of what is expected of anyone who desires the office of a bishop, but I believe all Fathers should act this way!
The grace to act on the word is already in you , just act the word.
Children obey your parents.
Fathers don't deliberately provoke your children.
Teach them Christ
Don't over pamper them
Be stern if you need to
Mothers too must see that they bring up the children as well.
Let's ensure Jesus is glorified in our homes.
People should enter our homes and see the love of Christ expressed in it!
We conclude tomorrow...
Be blessed always..
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part nine).
Colossians 3:18-21KJV
[18]Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
[19]Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
[20]Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
[21]Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Notice , that the Apostle Paul started to address "conduct" in families. If believers would just act on the word, there'd be so much peace and love in our homes. The wife MUST play her role as instructed in the word. Peter said something concerning this,
1Peter 3:1-6KJV
[1]Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
[2]While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
[3]Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
[4]But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
[5]For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
[6]Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
Be in subjection to your husband.
Be more concerned about your "conduct" (character) than your looks (even though you should still look good). Respect your husband. Don't be rude. Don't nag. That's not who you are. You have put off those fleshy characters with the old man! If Sarah who wasn't indwelt by the Spirit of God could conduct herself the way she did to Abraham, how much more we who have the life of God in us?
What about Husbands?
Scriptures teach that husbands must love their wives. You see, most of us know this scriptures but we fail to act on it. Knowing the bible is not the only important thing, acting on it makes it a reality in your own life.
Ephesians 5:25,28,33KJV
[25]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.
[28]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
[33]Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself...
1Peter 3:7KJV
[7]Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
Love your wife as Christ loves the church and gave Himself for it. Read 1corinthians 13:4-8 to know how to further conduct yourself towards your wife.
Dwell with her according to Knowledge, honour her, value her, be the Jesus in your home. When you refuse to walk in love towards your wife, you may be hindering answers to your prayers, and you sure do not want that, do you? So act on the word! Don't be bitter towards her, learn to bear all things. You can do it. The ability is in you by the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God!
The bottom line of everything is that both the wife and the husband must be subject to one another in the fear of God,
Ephesians 5:21KJV
[21]Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Once this is achieved in our homes, then the house of God would be filled with the love of Christ and we'd be able to flow well with the things of the Spirit in our gatherings.
We continue tomorrow ...
Be blessed.
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part eight).
Colossians 3:17KJV
[17]And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
We have been doing a brief explanation of Colossians chapter three , because therein lies how we who are saints must conduct ourselves. Let's move on to verse 17 (our text for today). Which says "whatsoever we do in word or deed must be done in the name of the Lord Jesus.." "in the name" speaks of our identification with Christ at His resurrection. Hence, we must walk, talk, and act with this consciousness always,
Romans 6:4KJV
[4]Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
We walk in the newness of life.
When we conduct ourselves like this, it brings glory to God.
The next words in that text says ..."giving thanks to God the Father by Him".
This should be the lifestyle of every new creature. You are already made a true worshipper in Christ. You don't need to start looking for rules and regulations to worship God in spirit and in truth. Let's see something quickly here ...
John 4:23-24KJV
[23]But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[24]God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
"In spirit and in truth" are not two things. The word "and" here means "kai" in the Greek translation, which means "indeed", or "which is". So it should read "In the Spirit WHICH IS the truth.
The word "true worshippers" appears only once in the New testament and this is God's work in salvation. Notice , that its the Father who "seeks" them? This seeking connotes desiring men to be saved. He wants to make men "true worshippers"!
1Timothy 2:4KJV
[4]Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
2Peter 3:9KJV
[9]The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
That's why He gave us the ministry of "reconciliation",
2Corinthians 5:19KJV
[19]And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.
The word "worship" appears 64times or more in the New testament and it means "to reverence", "to prostrate", "to kneel" "make obeisance" , it also means "prayer" "singing songs that glorifies the Father, His son" , "our service to God" etc. Please understand that No man can make himself a true worshipper! To become one, you'd have to be saved, and this means to be in Christ, or in the Spirit, and when this happens , then you'd have the liberty to worship God in the Spirit which is the Truth!
Philippians 3:3KJV
[3]For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
We worship God in the Spirit , we rejoice in Christ, we praise God, we raise our hands in adoration, we kneel down, we fall flat on our faces, this is continuous... You have not knelt down in your spirit, or raised your hands in the Spirit realm, you'd have to do it in the physical continuously,
Hebrews 13:15KJV
[15]By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Learn to praise God , thank Him for His love and grace towards you in Christ, thank Him for what He is doing and He will yet do. Sing songs of thanksgiving both in the Spirit and your understanding. That's how true worshippers conduct themselves , and you are already made one!
We continue tomorrow.
Blessed!
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part Seven).
Colossians 3:16KJV
[16]Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
The apostle Paul was very specific in his instruction to the Colossians. He said ... "let the word of Christ dwell in you to richly"''. Not just any kind of word, or teaching or doctrine, but that which satisfactorily reveals Christ Jesus.
Recall what He told them in chapter two.
Colossians 2:1-8KJV
[1]For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
[2]That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.
Notice, He wanted them have precise understanding of the doctrine of Christ... not just any kind of messages!
Let's read on,
[3]In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
[4]And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
He didn't want any man to deceive them with other kinds of teachings.
[5]For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
[6]As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
[7]Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Notice again ?
He wanted them to be rooted and built up in Christ AS THEY HAVE BEEN TAUGHT! They were taught CHRIST, not laws, not rules, not regulations, or personal revelations, BUT CHRIST!
Next verse,
[8]Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Philosophy , vain deceit, tradition of the world ... all these are from men who corrupt the word of Christ ... he asks them to be careful of such men!
You get it now right?
So "the word of Christ" in Colossians 3:16 would speak of the doctrine of Christ!
The word of Christ should dwell in us abundantly in all wisdom so we can be able to teach and admonish one another in psalms , hymns and spiritual songs. Our songs must be instructive, it must be christoscentric, it must also "admonish" (this means to "warn" and "caution")!
When you get a proper understanding of the Doctrine of Christ it will change everything you do, including the kind of songs you sing!
To get our message on psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, send us a personal message, we'll share it with you!
Give yourself to reading the word
Give yourself to studying the word
Give yourself to meditating on the word
Give yourself to Christ-focused teachings.
Give yourself to reading materials that explains Jesus clearly and plainly.
This will make the word of Christ dwell in you richly!
We continue tomorrow...
You have a blessed day.
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part six).
Colossians 3:15KJV
[15]And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
The believer should always allow the peace of God which he has in his spirit to flood his mind. You are the one who will LET the peace of God rule in your heart. The word "rule" is "brabeuo" in the originals and it means "to be an umpire", "to decide", "to control" and "to direct"! We must respond to this "peace" else we shall find ourselves getting unnecessarily worried over many things that we aren't supposed to be worried about!
John 16:33KJV
[33]These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
It's only in Christ that you'd find true peace of mind. In the world you'd have troubles, but right in the midst of whatever you are going through, rest assured that Jesus (the Prince of peace) is with you. Just see Him , and thank Him because He will never leave you nor forsake you ,
Matthew 28:20 KJV
[20]...and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
The word "lo" is "idou" in the originals and it means "to behold" or "to see"..
You see? Jesus wants you to SEE (with the eyes of your Spirit) that He is (and will be) with you always , no matter what it is you are going through!
"Don't get worried, don't overwork yourself trying to figure out how you'd come out of that challenge, just pray about it and thank God because He will come through for you, and let His peace rule your heart, "
Philippians 4:6-7KJV
[6]Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
[7]And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We continue tomorrow
I call you blessed !
BELIEVERS CONDUCT (Part five).
Col 3:14-15KJV
[14]And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
[15]And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Above all the things we mentioned yesterday, we must put on "Love".
Walking in love is required of every believer.
Ephesians 5:1&2KJV
[1]Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
[2]And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Walking in love amongst ourselves is important as it would drive out ill will, tale bearing, backbiting, malice and all, from our midst. We'd be able to flow well in the things of the Spirit in meetings. We'd be able to receive from God effortlessly. All the apostles in their epistles taught walking in love. It glorifies Jesus. It's the bond of completeness! If you can speak in tongues for six days non-stop and yet you can't walk in love towards your brother/sister in Christ, then you'd need to repent! Do a love-check now and see where you are failing and retrace your steps..
Let's read a few scriptures to justify this,
Romans 12:10KJV
[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
Galatians 6:2KJV
[2]Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
This speaks of walking in love too...
1Thessalonians 4:9KJV
[9]But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Hebrews 13:1KJV
[1]Let brotherly love continue.
James 2:18KJV
[18]Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
The "works" in this context speaks of walking in love. So, it'll now read "show me your Faith without your love walk" and I'll show you mine by "how I walk in love"! Your Faith in Christ is useless before men unless you learn to walk in love!
1Peter 4:8KJV
[8]And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Notice the word "above all things"?
This shows you that love is the most important thing in Christianity.
John 2:10-11KJV
[10]He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
[11]But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
And this...
1John 3:11KJV
[11]For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Here too,
1John 3:14 KJV
[14]We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
And this one...
1John 3:16-18KJV
[16]Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
[17]But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
[18]My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Finally for now ...
1John 4:7-8, 11, 12KJV
[7]Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[8]He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[11]Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
[12]No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
