What happens when the cameras stop, but the grief doesn’t?
Talking to Mercy and Vivian about the making of MISSED CALL was a haunting reminder that some stories are too big to just “act” out.
We didn’t just film a script; we stepped into a reality that many live in total silence.
Mercy and Vivian lived a truth in this film that most are too afraid to voice. We realized this story was bigger than a movie ; it was a lived experience that didn’t end when the director yelled “Cut.”

The idea came to me while I was asleep. I woke up with it so clearly in my mind that I immediately called my writer.
Somehow, she took what I shared and made it even more beautiful. That moment made me fall in love with the story all over again.
Having an idea is one thing. Executing it is another. But having a team that is willing to birth your vision into reality is something else entirely.
On the day we shot VOID, everything felt smooth, calm, and aligned. And that is the part of filmmaking I treasure the most. Working with like-minded people who genuinely go out of their way to see your dream come to life.
Receiving a festival selection after that is not something I take for granted. I am honestly grateful for every person who contributed their time, energy, creativity, and belief to this film.
VOID would not exist without my beautiful team.
