Part 2.

About ten men and I shared the same life goal, but I knew I had to choose only one. I liked them all, to be honest and it was difficult to choose. They almost had no noticeable flaws, but I Stilled my heart and chose only one, but in order to do that, we had to meet up.

My country had become a place where you could no longer trust a man to pick you up from your doorstep and take you to a private and quiet restaurant. A few years ago, you wouldn't worry about such things. But now, every lady had to beware of a ritualist, a ra**st, or a psychopath, so I chose a public restaurant for a dinner meeting each time I met them.

The first guy was a touchy-feely guy. He almost couldn't finish a sentence without touching me and I despised that so much. And what was that look in his eyes? He looked at me like a predator watching its prey. I wasn't comfortable, so red flag and he was out.

The second guy came looking out of place. The impression I had of him immediately shattered. When he spoke, my mind zoomed out. His grammar was horrible! It almost felt as if he chatted with me using chat gpt or chat pgt...whatever that thing is called.

His fashion sense threw me off...like, who wears a small sized t-shirt over a tight multicolored pants? Even a tie-dye pants would bow in respect to his tacky outfit.

One guy had a bad breath, and when he laughed, I saw those tiny weird dark and yellowish things stuck on his teeth. It was evident that he wasn't fond of brushing while growing up. I'd rather choose the tacky guy over him.

The other guys were okay and met my standard, however, they all wanted to have a taste of me before we took things further.

The one I liked the most, who seemed very keen on marriage, said we'd only date for two to three months to get to know each other better before we get married. I was elated, even if he wanted us to get married the next day, I would gladly accept, but then came his bizarre condition; he wanted us to have s*x before he'd proceed.

I vehemently refused his condition, not because I wasn't active, but because I found it insulting and degrading. Then he assured me it was once. He wanted to make sure I liked s*x like he did… he told me his greatest fear was also divorce and honestly, he sounded just like me, and I thought I'd found the one.

In other words, he wouldn't marry me if I couldn't hold up. I was expecting him to be honest about this, but then, he said it didn't matter if I could or couldn't hold up.

So, if my s*x drive or stamina didn't matter in the first place, then what was the need of tasting me?

After much bantering, he casually stated, “What's so bad with my idea? Unless you're infertile.”

That was when I realized he intended for me to get pregnant. He wanted to be sure that I was fertile!

Without a doubt, I knew he wasn't the man, so I walked out of whatever it was we had. I returned to the dating site but it had lost its allure as I couldn't find what I wanted. Most of them were unserious - They'd talk to you one minute, and the next, they'd ghost you for eternity. A poor jobless man would Make himself look wealthy on his profile but as you converse, you realize they were a lying and cheating bastard, so I left dating sites and resigned to my fate.

As for those men I thought were my type, we became strangers who only viewed each other's statuses on WhatsApp. Until one day, when the weapon fashioned against me found me.

After my last relationship ended in heartbreak and disappointment, I realized dating was pointless and told myself I didn't want anything to do with any man anymore, unless he were my husband.

My principles stood tall like a brick of wall, shielding me from all the malicious intent irresponsible men threw my way.

I walked with my head held high, irrespective of what any one said about me - They called me; proud bitch, carrier of a rusted engine, hopeless femininist, a le***an, and whatnot.

I know good men, real men when I saw one, so I wasn't bothered that I missed any good man from among the piles of rubbish I'd turned down.

It never occurred to me that I was getting older. No! My heart and mind was stuck in my early twenties, alas, I was slowly approaching 40. It was not until my family and friends began to worry about me that I started to subconsciously reconsider my choices and principles.

But even so, I was stubborn. My Will was too strong to be broken by pressure. I had not found a reasonable man. Should I then settle for a man-child because I was aging? I refused to be desperate. I saw my friends and foes enter and leave marriage like it was a normal thing to do and that was one of the things I dreaded.

I didn't want my life to be ruined, I didn't want to raise a child alone, so I swallowed everything they said - the negativity, pressure and all. They didn't understand my fears, and I had no intention of explaining anything.

But deep down, I had started to grow aware of my age and it was starting to bother me. Any time soon, I'd hit menopause. I also dreaded the thought of not having my own kids.

Talk about artificial insemination, I didn't want that. I wanted to gift my child the rights of legitimacy.

So, I considered a colleague's suggestion and found a few dating sites. The experience was totally different. It was fun at first, seeing men from all works of life - it was like a market place. You choose by appearances, their eloquence in speech, and their achievements.

Of course, I knew there were fraudsters. With my experience, I was able to outsmart them. And finally, I found some who seemed to be on my category - in respect of thinking, finance, life goals, and everything else.

Book title: Stripped Of Power: I Married a Useless Heir

Chapter 14: Disappointed

The morning sun was high up in the sky, marking a new dawn and showering the city below with its blessings. However, to some people, the new dawn looked pregnant with misfortune.

Lisa finally acknowledged the incessant ringing of her phone. She groaned in irritation before groping the space around her for the phone that had just stopped ringing.

She mumbled something in annoyance and went back to sleep. A few minutes later, her phone rang again.

"F*ck" she murmured inaudibly in a slow and tired voice before giving permission for her eyes to behold the beauty of the room.

Trying to sit up, a splitting headache hit her so badly that she moaned in pain while holding her head with one hand. With the other hand, she reached for the phone which was sitting beside her second pillow.

Glancing at the caller ID, it was Linda. She swiped the green button and waited for her to speak.

'Lisa, where are you?' her voice sounded a bit harder than it used to be.

"What is it?" she answered drowsily.

'Are you just waking up?!... Hurry home right now, it doesn't look good.'

Lisa yawned and ended the call. She glanced at the time; 9:15AM. She threw the phone to the bed and tried to remember why her head was aching. She didn't drink last night, so what happened?

At that moment, she remembered her ear was still hurting.

Lisa dragged herself off the bed and headed for the bathroom to shower. A while later, she returned, dressed up in her shorts and checked out of the hotel.

While leaving, she was getting funny glances but Lisa took it at face value. After all, she already guessed what would happen. Her attack on Ryan would certainly make headlines today, so what's there to panic about? She thought.

Outside the hotel, she spotted the same yellow car from last night.

"Hey, pretty gangster, you want a ride?"

Lisa couldn't deny the fact that this brown skin guy is handsome. She would have gotten into a fun relationship with him if it was convenient.

"Casanova, why are you here so early?" she started walking towards the car. The exterior wasn't expensive-looking… she didn't notice it last night. But the interior looked posh and creative. It gives one a wealthy and classy vibe.

"Your car looks cheap," she added.

Dicky sneered. "Thanks for the compliment. Kai wanted me to drop you at the hospital. I told her I didn't want to. I should have stood by my words."

Lisa arched her brow, "Kai seems to have you wrapped around her finger. What should we call that?... Love?" she shook her head, "Far from it." She entered the front passenger seat and touched the dashboard. "The interior is a work of art; gorgeous and expensive. Are you a rich guy?" She asked.

Dicky got into the driver's seat, "Don't praise my car. I didn't buy it with my money. I got it from a rich kid who wanted to spend a night with Kai. I changed its body so I don't have to start explaining where I got the car from," he winked and smiled.

Lisa turned her gaze to him. "Are you for real?"

"Ayah, don't give me that look. Kai was in on it… they had a nice time under the sheets too. So, I didn't betray no one." He started the car and zoomed out of the hospital.

"You're a bad boy."

"Not as bad as you… wait, Lisa, you haven't seen the headlines, have you?"

"What's there to see? I expected it."

"Oh," Dicky nodded like he understood. But for some reason, he felt the result of her actions was more than what she expected, but he decided not to say anything.

Lisa arrived home almost three hours after she was called. Entering the living room, her father was pacing back and forth with his phone to his ear. Her step mother looked worried and as for Linda, her eyes were glued to her screen.

"Lisa! She's back!"

Mrs. Qin's cry got their attention and they quickly turned to the entrance.

"What did you do? And why are you just coming?!" Linda screamed before anyone else could speak.

Lisa frowned at her reaction but turned a blind eye.

"Lisa, you have gone too far this time. I shouldn't have raised you this way. I gave you everything in a platter of gold, which is why you have no regard for the effort your father put in to achieve all that you have!" Mrs. Qin dropped to the couch and started wailing.

"I thought that by spoiling you, my sister's spirit would be at rest. I didn't know that you would eventually be the end of the Qin family. Your father is right… He has always been right about you. I thought you'd grow up, but instead, you got worse!"

The more she focused on Lisa's personality, the more she riled her husband up.

Lisa wanted to speak but halted her words when her sister suddenly cut in.

"Young Master Ryan was the future of our family. Dad thought that you'd for once do something for the family to redeem your image but instead, you almost killed someone again!!" She thundered.

"Almost killed?" Lisa's frown deepened.

"Are you honestly asking me that?" Linda laughed in anger. "Lisa, what do you want? Is it until you kill dad, or run the family into the grave, is that when you'll stop?!"

Lisa ignored her and checked the News.

[ The First Miss of the Qin family forced a bottle of HELL down a waitress' throat for smiling at Ryan Yun, her ex– fiance…]

[ Is the Qin Cooperation declaring bankruptcy? ]

[ Lisa Qin gave Ryan Yun a devastating blow on the head for defending the bullied waitress. ]

Lisa didn't bother to continue reading. They've twisted the story again. She looked at her dad who seemed very disappointed.

"Dad–"

Before she could speak, Mrs. Qin started wailing even louder.

Lisa shut her eyes and took a deep breath. "The news lied. Ryan–"

"Lisa, just accept you're wrong for once! Every time you break the law, dad is always there to protect you from going to jail. Don't you think he deserves your apology for putting him in so much pain? What has he done to deserve this from you, sis? After Aunt died, he has never been the same again. Even though he married my mother, he–"

"Shut up, I know!" Lisa hissed. Linda was starting to get on her nerves. She moved her gaze to her father who had been standing there and watching her since forever.

"Dad, I didn't do anything wrong. As for the Qin Cooperation, I won't let it fail–"

"Don't you talk big! What power do you have to save the company? Had you not ruined your life five years ago, you would have graduated this year from Business Academy and taken over Father's company!... The company started failing in the first place because of what you did five years–!"

"Enough!" Mr. Qin finally spoke. He looked from Linda to Lisa. He wanted to speak but the amount of disappointment he has for her swept away all the angry words he could think of.

Chapter 15: Disaster

While the whole family was staring at Lisa, Mr. Qin's phone rang. He answered it. After putting the phone down, he picked up the remote and turned on the TV.

On the business channel, Mr. Yun was granting an interview.

[ The Qin family and my Yun family have always been friends. For that, I thought it would be best for both families to seal the friendship with a marriage. Who would have thought that I was making a big mistake? The Qin family's daughter has repeatedly tried to antagonize my Yun family members and we turned a blind eye in regards to her father.

But it seems her father condones all of her wrong deeds. If such a person is allowed into my Yun family, she would not only turn the family members against each other, she would be the downfall of my company too. At this point, my Yun family officially breaks the engagement and relationship with the Qin family. Whatever form of support my Yun family has been rendering to the Qin family, both in business and on a personal level, my Qin family calls it off!" ]

"These bastards!" Mr. Qin mumbled with gritted teeth. Did they have to make it public to humiliate his daughter? Couldn't they have broken the news to them in private?

"How could the Yun family do this? When they started, you and my sister were their backbone. You supported them through thick and thin! If you didn't give up the opportunity to become a member of WBO to them five years ago to save Lisa, would they have gotten ahead of the Qin family? Had it not been for Lisa, we would have still remained on the list of top families in the country!" Mrs. Qin continued to lament.

While the TV was still on, Mr. Qin received a few calls from the company. The shares are plummeting in a rather outrageous manner, thanks to Mr. Yun's interview. At this rate, there was no saving the company. The man suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest. It felt as though his heart was being squeezed.

"Argh!" He whimpered and the next thing, he puked blood and fell backwards.

"Dad!"

Lisa leaped over the center table that was the barrier between her father and her, in the bid to save him from hitting the floor. Luckily, she made it before her father hit his head.

Mr. Qin caught the panic in his daughter's voice and face, as he lay on her lap. The man was worried for this daughter of his. How would she survive with the Qin family's unfortunate situation? She's not one to bend to rules of the jungle, no matter what, so how would she fit into the world with no backing?

This reason was why he breaks his back– toiling to make sure the Qin Cooperation doesn't fail. If the Qin Cooperation remains standing, she will always get protection, but now, how will she cope?

While those thoughts ran through his mind, his eyes slowly started to get hazy and soon, her cry for help became indistinct, coupled with the voices he couldn't make sense of in the background. In no time, his mind went blank and he drifted into the abyss of darkness.

At the hospital…

Lisa was pacing back and forth in the corridor, waiting for the doctors to come out of the ICU. Linda, on the other hand, refused to take a break from blaming and abusing Lisa. Mrs. Qin was just sitting there, looking lost and tired. After a few hours, the door was pushed open and the doctors came out.

Once again, Lisa was the first to notice and run to the doctor. "How is my father doing?"

"You suddenly care about him now?"

Lisa ignored Linda's sarcastic remark one more time and focused on the doctor.

"Mrs. Qin, I'd like to speak with you privately."

"He's my father. I want to know what the matter is!" Lisa felt offended for the cold shoulder she was given.

The doctor looked at her and then took a deep breath. "Fine, come with me, you two."

Inside the doctor's office…

The man looked at the two and asked, "Are you aware that this is his second heart attack in two months?"

Lisa frowned and turned her gaze to her stepmother.

"No, I'm not aware that he had one," Mrs. Qin replied.

"You're his wife, how would you not know?" The doctor then turned to Lisa. "And you, as his daughter, what are you doing?" He changed glances between the two. "Do you want to kill him? Do you know what it's like for a family without a father?" his eyes shifted between them again.

"You don't want to know. So, if I were you, I'll try as much as possible to not agitate him from now on. The next attack he gets might be the last time you'll see him."

Lisa looked down at her hands and slowly asked, "What's his condition right now?"

"It's been stabilized. He might wake up tomorrow or next… also, while you protect him from another attack, you should also consider his mental health too. Mr. Qin has been very unstable since ten years ago and it keeps getting worse. You should be careful," the doctor advised.

"Thank you, Uncle Phil," Lisa said.

"Hm… and your ear? Did you get it checked this morning?"

"Yes."

"What's wrong with your ear? Are you hurt?" Mrs. Qin asked with confusion lacing her face.

Lisa shook her head, "I'm fine, it's nothing to worry about." She got up and left the doctor's office.

Mrs. Qin gaze trailed after her until Lisa left through the door. She turned and looked at the doctor. "Doctor Phil, you're my husband's friend. Is there anything I need to know?"

"About?..."

"His situation… and Lisa too. What's wrong with her?"

"I already told you all there is to know about your husband. As for Lisa, that stubborn brat. She got her ear slapped and it caused a tear in her eardrum. Were you not aware? You were there when she was slapped yesterday morning."

Mrs. Qin's eyes widened. "I– I had no idea she sustained injury. How serious is it?" The woman frowned.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Doctor Phil clicked his tongue and shook his head. "It might take over two months to heal if you guys don't stop yelling her head off. I heard your daughter screaming at her earlier."

Chapter 13: She's a beast.

"Lisa, why are you creating drama? What has she done to deserve this humiliation? She might be a waitress, but she's also a human! A human, Lisa!"

Ryan barked. He was ashamed to face the public after what Lisa just did to him. He knew what he did wrong but knowing Lisa, she won't tell the people what the waitress did. So why not make her look bad so she can stop?

"Hehe," Lisa suddenly chuckled dryly and turned her gaze to the Manager who was sweating buckets by now. "I asked for the most expensive alcoholic drink, where is it?"

"He– here, ma'am," a waiter brought the drink over and placed it on the table with shaky hands before stepping aside.

Lisa opened the bottle and poured out a full glass for the waitress, "Drink it, all of it."

"Miss Lisa, th–that..." The Manager's voice trailed off when she shot a glare at him. He wanted to tell her that the waitress doesn't drink alcohol, let alone a wine with 100% alcohol!

At this point, the waitress realized that Ryan won't be able to save her. So, she plopped to her knees and started wailing pitifully. "Miss Lisa, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to seduce him, I– I– didn't know you were his girlfriend as we've been dating for a while now."

Whether it was a sincere apology or not, it was left for Lisa and others to interpret.

People were starting to gossip in hushed voices, no one knew exactly whose side they were on.

"Oh, so it's a case of cheating. This brother of yours is too much. Flirting with a waitress in the presence of his fiance. Eww… I'd have punched his face if I were Lisa." It was obvious where Dicky stood.

"Lisa, she has apologized, let her go, please." Ryan spoke again, but this time, his voice was a lot calmer. If looks could kill, the waitress would have long died from the glare he gave her while she was confessing.

"The more I hear you speak, the more I want to punish her." Lisa suddenly yanked the Lady's hair back and forced her face up. She grabbed the bottle of drink and started pouring the wine slowly in her face.

The action caused the girl to gasp. That was what Lisa was actually waiting for. The minute she did, Lisa moved her hand and focused the stream of drink into her mouth.

The waitress started to gasp for air as she gulped down mouthful after mouthful. Her throat burned. The horrible taste which hit her palate was one she didn't ever want to taste again.

For the first time, people actually took Lisa's side and started cussing the waitress in the background.

The manager and the staff were fidgeting but none dared to step in for the waitress.

Ryan was beyond himself with shock. Of course, he knows Lisa to be bossy and wicked, but this, he never expected her to be this callous!

The more that the waitress struggled, the more Lisa's hold on her hair tightened. She only let the girl go after she had drunk half the bottle and was retching all over.

Her stomach was churning and she was feeling horrible. Yet, the ladies in the restaurant wouldn't take pity on her for even a moment.

"Serves her right!"

"It's the audacity to seduce someone's fiance right in front of them!"

"I've actually started to like Lisa. She's a bomb!"

Dicky supported his jaw with both hands. With a dreamy look, he vocalized his thoughts. "Kaizer, I've finally found love!"

As though he didn't hear that, Kaizer ignored him while still concentrating on Lisa.

Once she was done with the waitress who was lying there like a dead fish, she finally turned her attention to Ryan and started walking towards him with the half emptied bottle. "You cheated on me when I was abroad. Even now, right in front of my eyes, you dared?"

Ryan's heart skipped a beat when her baleful tone drifted into his ears. The Lisa walking slowly towards him wasn't one that would accept a lie. He swallowed and quickly tried to defend himself while maintaining a good image.

"You heard her, she was flirting with me. She was my fling before you came back. I was just being a gentleman. What did you want me to do? Push her away? Humiliate her? Get her fired?!"

Standing in front of him, Lisa's lips slowly curled up before they parted to let out words, "Did you bring me here for me to watch you and your girlfriend flirt with each other?... Let me rephrase that. Ryan, did you bring me out of my house, at this time of the night, to show me how good you are at being all over a side chick?"

Earlier, she was a bit far from him, but now that she was standing right in front of him, Ryan couldn't let out words: they were stuck at the back of his throat. He suddenly feels like a chick standing before a hawk.

"You thought to humiliate me?"

"N–no, No, Lisa. Listen, I brought you here to talk about your father's failing company. I wanted to tell you what you needed to do so my father would agree to collaborate with…" his voice slowly died down as he saw her emotionless eyes had been graced with fury.

Right, the public doesn't know yet that the Qin Cooperation is experiencing troubles. Now that he told everyone, it will be making headlines by morning!

Ryan saw her rage, he knew he messed up but still he continued anyway. He felt that he needed to remind her why she shouldn't treat him with disrespect. Earlier he was still trying to smoothen things over, but now, he wasn't trying to pretend anymore.

"Lisa, it is your family that needs mine to remain relevant in the society. Without my family, your failure of a father would be a grovelling sycophant in a few days from now! So, whatever I do, whether I cheat or not, shouldn't be your problem! You're after my money and I'm after your body, and that, we'll give each other!"

The crowd gasped. This was way bigger than them. They don't want to offend the young Master of the Yun family, neither do they want to experience the same treatment as the waitress who was quietly wiggling on the floor like a dying snake.

"Wow, that was unexpected, he isn't even pretending anymore." Dicky commented inaudibly. "Guess this is the reason Lisa is still tolerating him. I'm sure she'll let this humiliation pass again," He sighed sorrowfully.

"She won't," Kaizer finally opened his mouth.

Just after he said that, Lisa's action commemorated his claim.

"Smack!"

A thunderous slap landed on Ryan's face. Before he could consume that, she raised her boot and kicked his balls. Just when he was about to drop to his knees, she yanked his hair and slammed his face on the table with a loud 'bang!'

"Ryan Yun," she chuckled. "How do you see me?" she pulled his hair to make him look at her face clearly. His nose was broken and from the frown of discomfort on his face, she could tell he received a devastating blow to either his face or balls.

"With or without your Yun family, my Qin family will never fall." She pushed his head away and turned to leave but suddenly paused when she spotted the bottle of drink she was still holding.

"Bang!"

The bottle shattered after coming in contact with Ryan's head. The people cried out in horror. At the same time, Ryan fell flat on the floor with blood trickling down his head.

Dicky sucked air through his teeth. That was a horrendous attack! She's a beast!

Lisa didn't give a damn if he was fine or not and walked out of the place.

"Wow, that was… she's way more gutsy than I can ever be. Kai–" Dicky halted his words when Kaizer suddenly raised and ditched him. "What the…" he cried out and followed after his friend.

Chapter 14: Casanova Dicky

The night view of the city was indeed one that would seduce people out of their houses even though the weather was chilly.

Lisa couldn't recall how many times she had rubbed her arms even though she was wearing a sleeved shirt. No one told her the night's temperature would be this cold, else she would have respected her skin and wore something thicker.

She sighed again. There were no cabs in sight and it was just 11:22 Pm. Had she known, she would have taken Ryan's car keys. Or should she go back and take them? No need, he must have been sent to the hospital already.

"What a bad luck!" she lamented. Just then, a yellow car pulled over in front of her.

"Hello, pretty," Dicky pushed his head out of the driver seat's window and winked with a seductive smile.

His expression at that moment could get a lady pregnant.

Lisa rolled her eyes and continued walking forward.

"Lisa."

She paused when she heard the quiet female voice. She looked behind her and saw Kai getting out of the car.

"Kai?" she looked at him skeptically before adding, "What are you doing here?"

Kaizer pointed at Dicky who just stepped down from the car. "His family just returned from abroad and wanted me to accompany him."

"Oh," she nodded faintly. "You can continue…"

"What are you doing out here so late?" Kaizer cut her off politely.

"I'm hunting for a cab, but unfortunately…" she shrugged her shoulders.

"Dicky can drop you off, right?" he glanced at Dicky who had been staring at Kaizer as though he saw a ghost.

"Ah? Ah, yes, yes, the car can definitely accommodate a gorgeous lady in distress." He beamed sweetly.

"Then, I won't stand on ceremony," Lisa returned and entered the back seat. A moment later, Kaizer joined her. As for Dicky, he was left to be the chauffeur in his own car!

Time to time, he'd spy on them through the rear mirror. In all of Kaizer's years, the only person he was willing to befriend was Dicky. It wasn't because he found Dicky interesting from when they were kids, it was simply because their mothers forced the friendship between the two until they grew to find each other likable.

Being the only friend Kaizer has, he is aware of 90% of who Kaizer really is, what he does, how he lives, his challenges, strength, what he cares about, and everything else he needs to know. But this… Kaizer of all people starting a conversation with Lisa is unfathomable. He only traveled for a week and returned tonight, so how did Kaizer suddenly become friends with the infamous Lisa?

In the backseat, the two didn't speak for a long time. Lisa was on her phone, doing whatnot and Kaizer was stealing glances at her.

"Do you have something you'd like to say?" Lisa asked without taking her eyes off her screen.

"Your ear, how is it fairing?"

"It still hurts. Especially after the barking of that deadbeat brother of yours and his side chick." She said it so passively like she didn't just send people to the hospital.

"Wooo! Lady, why are you sounding so relaxed? Are you not afraid that your family will suffer if Ryan is badly hurt? You almost killed him there." Dicky butted in while glancing at her from the mirror.

"He's thick skinned and shameless. That little blow shouldn't be enough to kill him. But if he dies, I spend the rest of my days in jail. What's the big deal?" she raised her gaze to glance at Kaizer before she added in a low tone. "He mustn't die yet, I'm not done with him."

Dicky shook his head. This lady is a gangster. No wonder she's a controversial figure.

"What are you going to do about your family's business now? It seems your wedding won't hold anymore, after what you did today." Dicky asked while Kaizer was staring at her side profile. He was also interested in the topic.

"Oh, it seems you were there and saw it all." She nodded and continued, "Nothing. I thought I would marry him to secure the deal, then divorce him after a few months. Now that my plans are ruined, I'll go with the flow."

What baffles Dicky was the fact that she was comfortable with the situation. She was just saying it so nonchalantly like it has nothing to do with her.

"Do you have other plans for your father's company? You did say that with or without the Yun family, your Qin family won't fall." Dicky probed deeper.

Lisa finally kept her phone away and asked, "Why do you seem to care so much about my plans? Are we friends? Or you want to snitch on me?"

"Ohoi, young lady, I'm the most loyal person you can ever find in this time and age. Don't malign my character!"

"Do you have a character? Because the first time I met you, you were being a pervert." Seeing he was speechless, she shot a glance at Kaizer and patted his lap. "Friend, you're a girl and should be careful of people like him. He's nothing short of a Casanova."

'Screech!'

The car came to a halt in the middle of the road. Dicky turned to look behind him. "Are you for real? Because I'm hot doesn't mean I'm a Casanova. I might–"

"What's your body count?" Lisa cut him off.

"Wh– what?" He blinked a couple of times.

Lisa nodded faintly with a sly smile slowly stretching across her lips. "You can't answer that?"

"Ahm…" he coughed gently and returned to the driver's seat. "Body count doesn't make one a Casanova," he grumbled before starting the car.

Lisa snorted and turned to look at Kaizer who was typing on his phone. "Kai, I don't know what relationship you have with him, but you have to be careful."

Kaizer turned his attention to her and nodded slightly, "Mm," he responded.

Dicky almost died of a heart attack. How dare Lisa try to stain his pure image? Yeah, he's a bad guy who can't even count the number of girls he has slept with, but even so, Kai is a man! A man! Why would Kai have to be careful around him?! And the backstabber nodded to it!!

Dicky continued sulking as he drove along the almost quiet road: except for the occasional cars that drove past them.

"Hey, Casanova, I'm not going to the Qin residence. Take me to a hotel."
